My hyperextension was pretty minor, I did it on my left leg on leg press - was accompanied by a little bit of pain when squatting ass to grass. Fast forward a year I'm very off balance when walking now, because ever since the injury I changed the way I walked. Left knee extends further back when locked out. 0 pain though. Problem is I bare so much weight on my right leg and barely any on left.

For everybody wondering how bad it really is, it isn’t bad at all. If it is a small hyperextension, first few days, may hurt bit. After that, you should be fine (if you take proper care) now, if it is major, might wanna go to the doctor. This kind of exercise may help a tiny bit. But you should definitely listen to what the doctor’s recommendations are. When I first hyperextended my knee, I thought it was going to be really bad. Turns out, it wasn’t! Like I said, first few days, may hurt a bit, after that, you should be fine. Do not worry!

I got an LCL while playing soccer in December 2022. 1 month later, I had an accident while recovering and I aggravated the injury. In fact, the re-injury was way painful than the first. I started full recovery and started all the exercises to improve my knee strength and return to full fitness. After about 8 months, the pain was completely gone and I started jogging and I could even do sprints without any restrictions. I returned to the pitch for a couple of weeks, but when I went for a tackle, i heard my knee shift again. I'm back to square one again and I'm going to go go through all the exercises outlined in your video. I know my injury belongs to the Grade 3 and I'll be more careful to get back to full fitness. I do love Soccer a lot. I'm going to also get a knee brace to begin using when I return to the pitch. Is waiting for a year adequate enough to get me back to fitness?

Hi. I came across this video because I had my LCL done as well just 2 and a half weeks ago from basketball when I was doing the euro step. My recovery has been great lately, and there are times where if I walk in a specific position I’d feel my knees tweak a little bit so I have to limp to get to my destination. The balance floor I can’t quite do yet because I feel like that my knee is going to give up so I don’t do that exercise. Should I avoid any exercises until I can kind of be a bit more mobile? I’m trying to be patient cause I just want to walk properly and fast again😂

This time I began with squats to rehab my knee and I caused more pain and weakness. Now I am going to follow your suggestions which sound much more reasonable. I'm surprised how much balance I've lost but i think your plan will work for me.
