    I put a very detailed article on sports massage here for those who want a deeper understanding of what we look for and how we practice on athletes. www.hollandreflexology.com/what-is-sports-massage-also-known-as-athletic-massage/

    I would say what many describe as Deep Tissue is just deep pressure Swedish. But what you describe is what most therapists know as Deep Tissue. And Sports massage is typically seen as before/after event. But I still enjoyed your Sports description. Thank you!

    Deep tissue holistic massage is deep, there's a lot of crossover between deep tissue and sports massage which cannot be denied! They of course are not the exact same thing, but I wouldn't under estimate Deep Tissue Massage, all the same x

    I can oil or rub lotion on myself. Deep tissue/sports massage only interest me. Lift weights so need muscle releases. Some masseuses too lazy to work that hard.

      Some dudes too lazy to use personal pronouns.

      It’s not necessarily laziness. It’s very hard on joints. Some bodies more than others.

    Thank you for this, this explains a lot, because I'm normally looking for a "sports massage" when I go to these places, but I don't get what I need.
    Now I know, I need to go to an actual sports massage therapist or a sports medicine establishment.
    Much appreciated.

    Are there any tests or parameters after the massage treatment? What i meant is , how would someone know that after the massage the patient or the athlete is okay or recover?

    Not exactly true about a deep tissue massage. It’s not just more pressure Swedish Massage at all.

    • @pamelagarlito7149
      @pamelagarlito7149 ปีที่แล้ว

      True, its just a Swedish with strong pressure, but should inform the therapist which area should focus more on massage from soft medium to strong pressure so to avoid more uncomfortable feeling and bruices afterward. If there client as for deep tissue massage, u cannot put hard pressure at first, need warm up the muscles as soft touch then proceed to medium to deep pressure. That's they only techniques and should explain to client as well. Thai massage is a combination of all massages techniques. While sports massage focused on strains muscles and with light stretching techniques or can add up a twist of chiropractic techniques.

    What a shame. So detailed and professional until your last comment of "foufou" massage at the end, you lost all credibility. Trying to negatively portray other massage practices in order to "puff up" your own, is only a sign of an inflated ego.

    • @hollandmassagereflexology2000
      @hollandmassagereflexology2000  2 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      Ego? I am a therapist of deep tissue work. Credibility? I have 3000 plus patients over 21 years.
      Massage oil spreaders that claim to do deep tissue therapy are the scammers of the public. I call them out! I take you will not be subscribing..lol
      There is a place for foo foo massage's. But that's not my channel. And I don't perform that work.

      Thanks for replying. This is called constructive criticism, those w/o need to self validate can welcome feedback. Found your finishing words, very unprofessional.
