As soon as I saw this it reminded me of an old game called Hero Quest. This game is clearly much more advanced than it but the game board and miniatures sparked that memory. This looks like a lot of fun.

Great video, I'm gonna do mine in french today, and it's good to have yours in order to check everything before. It's a great game, but as in some of Blacklist Games but Street Masters, the theme is a little bit shadowed by mechanics. We are more focused on cards than on the Dugeon Map, and the gameplay is in the cards more than in the dungeon. But it's grzat as it is smooth to play, and very easy to manage, except for the space on the table, maybe with a random tile setup it would save table space, I can't see why it wouldn't work to have tiles instead of a BIG map. Thanks again for your great vid.
@Boardgamer69 Good luck in your playthrough! I did watch a design video with the creators on the map vs random tiles, and I understand why they did. Whether its this game, or something like Shadows of Brimstone ... I'm always going to have space problems. lol :)
This is one of my most anticipated games. I believe mine will be arriving in the first few weeks of December, right in time for my vacation from work. Going to get the camera ready and the beer chilled.
yeah... probably not going to get this one... I know its hot right now for alot of people but it doesn't seam to inspire me to join into this rabbit hole... that is good though as it will give me more time to play Aeon's End... did some live streaming of it last night and I couldn't go to bed until I beat the mission... finally on try 4 I beat the War Eternal intro scenario... this might just be my new favorite game of all time... its so good... glad I have more boxes of the game coming. You know its a good day when you get home from work and get Aeon's End War Eternal and Aeon's End Outcast boxes... so good....
Looks interesting. Any plans on recording and uploading a full game? I'd like to see it all the way through before possibly committing to this game. It's getting expensive, Marvel Champions, Power Rangers Heroes of the Grid and all the Smash Up back catalogue.

I think Marvel United is a bit hard to find at the moment. I posted 3 plays of the base game and am waiting on the expansions. It’s a fun, light cooperative game. I’m hoping the expansions add a little something more. Thanks for watching!
Dale. I just played my first game yesterday. I have a rules questions if you can help me out: How does the boss spawn? I don't see any card in the Villain deck that spawns the boss and the boss card can't go in the deck since it has text on the back. So a bit confused there.
@Frank Zanca Thanks for watching! The boss spawns once you go through the villain deck and need to draw a card and can't. Then the boss comes out and ruins the day ... if you live that long. ;) Hope that helps, and good luck! :)
in the quest ''The Cleansing' how do you set up the quest deck.?..do all the cleansing cards get shuffled together and are drawn randomly when you reveal a room?

My package is supposed to be here Tuesday which is the core game expansion and stretch goal would you recommend that I take all the cars and put them all in like categories or keep them separate until I start the campaign
@Jason MNfrost I don't see any problems with taking all the cards out and organizing using the dividers. That's exactly what I did. Hope that helps, and enjoy the game!! :)

@@julielane3073 There are a lot of "dungeon crawlers" out there, and Altar Quest is a bit unique with the features, modular deck system, and even the monsters are a bit different than most games. My favorite "dungeon crawl" is Shadows of Brimstone, but its set in a western theme with chtulhu type monsters (and you have to put the models together yourself). It's a dice fest. A lot of people also recommend the D&D Adventure System type games, very simple to play. Arena the Contest is one that might be close too. And outside of the typical fantasy dungeon crawl, I do highly recommend Cthulhu Death May Die, and for a more story campaign driven by an app, Lord of the Rings: Journeys in Middle Earth. Hope that gives you some options, and good luck in your adventures! :)

27:40 features also activate during the Quest turn but in your case here you wouldn’t since you’re not adjacent to the feature.

Is this coming to retail? I ask, owning several games like this that haven't seen any play (like Massive Darkness)
