This, is also a military wing and one of the largest non-state actor armies.
It possesses an arsenal of missiles and rockets, hundreds of anti-aircraft trucks, an air defense system, dozens of Soviet-era tanks, and other troop carriers like this BMP.
With Thousands of soldiers on its payroll,
Hezbollah is a driving force, along with Russia, in helping the "Bashar al-Aassad" regime survive the civil war.
Interestingly, Hezbollah is just a political party in Lebanon as stated,
but some reports suggest it is almost equal in strength to the country’s Lebanese Army. it's almost like a country within a country in Lebanon.
But it was also iran that has funded Hezbollah, projecting its power and enabling it to hold proxy wars with Israel,
so Let's take a look at how it Compares against each other.
Hezbollah has 100,000 soldiers but some reports suggest it’s around 60,000 making it one of the world’s most heavily armed non-state.
While Israel has around 160,000 active personnel and a reserve force of around 500,000 personnel.
Moving forward They have around 150,000 Missiles while the Israeli Israel has at least 10 Iron Dome batteries in operation, each containing 60 to 80 interceptor missiles.
But hers is the catch.
As we all know how in order to overwhelmed the Iron dome system you Need to fire around 5000 for a successful penetration.
Lets assume the Israel have around 5000 missiles in Storage Considering the Iron Dome cost $50 million per battery and $100,000-150,000 per interception or Missiles.

The rockets are not accurate. They’re more akin to the V1 developed by Nazi Germany. They are purely weapons of terror, meant to saturate a large area to spread fear and panic. Iron Dome has an intercept rate of around 95% depending on the location and type of missile.
The ordinance from the Iranian 300 wave which came through were mostly ballistic ones, which aren't what Iron Dome is supposed to intercept. Iron dome is designed to intercept cheap short-range projectiles that travel on a flatter tryjectory. Ballistic Missiles on the other hand travel hundreds of kilometers above the ground during their peak altitude and are well out of the range of Iron Dome. For those there are dedicated exo atmospheric interceptors like Arrow 3, or ones capable of terminal interception like David's Sling or Patriot. All of this excluding ship launched interceptors like the SM-3 which could have been used by USN vessals off the shores of Isreal.

Rockets and missiles are not the same thing. Also missing out on artillery which are not those things either. Artillery is cheapest, followed by rockets and missiles. Missiles are guided rockets and thus more expensive.

No. Iron Dome only eliminates missiles that are calculated to threaten a target. Since Hezbollah fires unguided rockets it is pretty easy to determine a miss rate.

Not sure where u get that u need to fire 5000 misiles to get through the iron dome since not all iron dome batteries are installed in the north but are scattered around isreall and secondly after a anti air battery is depleted it takes considereble amount of time to reload.

Yes, sometimes if only 10-20 missiles were fired, some of them still crash into isr.ael because the iron dome can't handle a simple number of missiles sometimes.. also the batteries are all over isr.ael not only northern isr.ael as you mentioned. So if 100 missiles were fired, probably some missiles would fall without getting intercepted due to an error with the radar.

This analysis is quite strange because although Hezbollah may have fighting men and a bunch of rudimentary military equipment, they have zero Airforce or Navy. While they did disclose that this isn't apart of their analysis here, it certainly should be as the Israeli airforce would neutralize their missile defense and any troop carriers or tanks they may have in 3 days. So unless their troops are good runners, all they will have is missiles which even this analysis suggests would be adequate for a month at best. Without any means of defense, their missile capability would be adequate for about a week. After that, they might enjoy living in tents or under bricks. Job well done.

Iron dome calculates trajectory of each incoming threat. If it seems like the threat will likely hit a empty or less dangerous area, they dont shoot it down. It is not necessary to hit every target.

The biggest threat to Israeli forces though are the modern infantry operated AT weapons such as metis konkurs fagot and a mass of other modern rpg types… that and drones… Especialy in urban combat.
