      @@LivingInDallasCounty yes because I’ve talked to many people and it’s becoming an undesirable area. They also need more restaurants and activities

      Funny thing is you never hear anything about the residents of predominantly white communities like River Oaks in Houston or Highland Park in Dallas complaining about a lack of diversity.

      Once the Aquatic & Recreation Center at McCowan Park is finished, this will be a great addition here in DeSoto

      @coreas9996 I don't think there is a specific Mother / Daughter event, however, there are several events throughout the year that you both can do together in DeSoto

      @ cool… what about all the crime people in Dallas say about south Dallas in areas like desoto they say are the worst parts to be especially for single mothers

    • @LivingInDallasCounty
      @LivingInDallasCounty  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @coreas9996 these are valid concerns, especially for single Mothers.
      I personally have not experienced high levels of crime since moving to the DeSoto area in 2017.
      My Wife does things with our kids here in DeSoto (without me) and she has not expressed to me that Crime is a concern of hers.
      Have you spent time in the DeSoto or are you researching online?

      @ I’m researching online…I’ve never been to Desoto personally…but I do plan to come down one weekend and see what the area is like…n possibly even apartment search while I’m at it… or tour one at least…I don’t have a savings or too great credit so Ik a house may not be in the plans right now…however if I can get rent or rental assistance even it could be a plus
