everything you said is what we were taught at the police academy.extend baton and bring back to shoulder as if you were hitting a baseball.end cap pointing at target, forward strike at upper and lower muscle groups,(not joints, head, back)commanding "get down/back stop resisting"
Cause you're likely to kill the person. A telescope baton delivers a ton in force, and aimed at the head would crack a persons skull. Aiming directly at elbows and knees would surely break them. Even hitting at soft spots could cause internal bleeding.
Mine has a friction holster and I'm having issues quickly removing it because it fits so tightly. It has a rubber-like grip which helps when deploying but hinders removal from the holster. Anyone have any suggestions?
This was a very informative and educational video! Thank you very much! (Only one negative, though. While the presentation was flawless, IMO, I would have preferred the presenter to articulate and enunciate a bit better. Several times he said "firearm", and, because I've been in the industry for over 20 years, I realized what he was saying. But the problem was it was sounding like "farm". Several times. And that wasn't the only word; just the one most glaring. That's the only flaw with this video. To the uninitiated, some of those words may not be recognized. I do not know if captions would have caught this, since I didn't use the captions setting.)
"this is your long portion, this is your GRIP portion" yeah, I'm familiar with those portions XD cool video, just traded my small knife in for a nice baton :-)
Very good, detailed breakdown presentation and review all sections was helping me to understand the presentation better and helped me remember better!

My instructor told us never to hit a person in there head, chest, or upper body area. Those maybe fatal blow so only aim for waist below and their arm

Great video thanks :)
Foam grip is just fine. Foam grip on cheap models are complete shit. Foam on say an asp like I have, is better quality and doesnt tear like others do.
After watching this video, you may be able to ward off an attack from a homosexual with your baton but that's about it.
