It is tempting to compare BS&T and Chicago, but I think their paths diverged relatively early. BS&T were always at heart a Jazz outfit, with one of the best vocalists in modern music. Chicago progressively allowed production values to come to the fore, rather than improvisation. I love them both deeply - but I can't imagine Chicago performing something like Unit 7 or Spain live as BS&T do.
Still consider myself privileged to have them both in the soundtrack of my life.
boy! way to play Glenn! Probably one of the best keyboard players i have ever heared
Love the loping bass line, and of course the soaring solo by Ries (Pharoah funk?)
