Sojan Joseph, a nurse from India's southern state of Kerala, has scripted history by becoming the first Keralite elected to the UK Parliament from Ashford, ending the area's 139-year Conservative stronghold. Representing the Labour Party, Joseph defeated veteran politician Damien Green. He migrated from India to the UK two decades ago after completing nursing studies in Bengaluru and has since served in the UK's government-run National Health Service. Married to a nurse from Thrissur, Joseph has three children. His victory was celebrated by his family in Kerala, with his father expressing pride in a Malayali (Malayalam-speaking people in Kerala) succeeding abroad. Keir Starmer has been appointed as the new Prime Minister after Labour’s landslide victory, ending 14 years of Conservative rule.

They are very traditional Christians more than Europeans.. 2000 years ago one of Jesus disciples (st Thomas) came to kerala and the people of existing Christians in kerala who converted to Christianity..For more information you check with history..

Syrian Christians in Kerala are one of the oldest Christian communites in the world. They use syriac language in the prayers which is a dialect of Aramic language in which Jesus spokes. Today Syriac tradition is using only in Kerala and some parts of middle east for prayers.
