I had my doubts, but still ordered these for all my neo geo pads. After the first one I was shocked at the absolute quality and amazing feel of this mod. Fantastic solution!
I just installed one of these kits I bought from you. working like a dream now on my MiSTer FPGA. I added a dab of lithium grease to the base of the dpad pivot just for its long-term preservation after confirming it wouldn't react with the plastics.
Amazing to see this from you Greg. This will benefit many in the community. I posted this up on the Neo-Geo thread for others to take notice and order on your shop page bro. Thank you for sharing this kind sir. 8^) Anthony..
Thank you for this, I have 2 pads and one of them has a dodgy down switch, I'll try DeOxit first if that fails, at least I know there's now a fix for it. :)
Tried to repair a few pads with these kits, but it is far from perfect... impossible to do combos... best solution is still to clean the (original microswitches in the) pads often and before they get too dirty...
you would need to do the same to all 4 pads, it was a demonstration of how to deal with pads that are starting to get loose on the pcb or if there is fear that the pads will eventually tear up from the pcb. They are known to do that in some rare situations.
Sorry PayPal punishes sellers, especially with international sales. They had an internal glitch and held our funds hostage for months while they fixed it. We did nothing wrong they did not apologize or offer any quicker solution.
@@LaserBearIndustries Yes Paypal can sometimes be very unreasonable I understand, I was once in that situation myself :( still you`re missing a lot of customers since you do not use this option...
The tolerances are too tight. I couldn't push the switches far enough back against the casing, so when I put the springs in, they are constantly pressed down, I did everything to try pushing it flush and broke the switch, now it still isn't flush and I can't take it out. So now I just wasted my money on something I feel was no fault of my own
It sounds like a defective print, if you reach out to our web contact sheet, or respond to your order email we can get you a replacement kit. Posting here about the problem is perfectly fine, but we are able to actually help when you contact us through the proper channels since we can't link a TH-cam profile to your actual order information.
@@LaserBearIndustries I did what you said right after I posted the last comment and haven't heard anything back. I got another one and it works but the springs don't push the lever back to center. Do I have ti lubricate the switches?
Thank you Greg for the great mod! I had a tough time starting off, but everything flowed nicely thereafter! 🎉

Anthony..
I'm amazed someone hasn't already made replacement PCBs for these where they replaced the surface mount pads with through-hole mounts.
Fantastic! I've ordered one of these kits from you just now =D
Mine turned up today dude but I'm moving house on the 4th so won't get a look in the at least two weeks. Let me know how it feels 😁
Thanks! Just preordered. So glad someone has made a solution to this issue
Just got my kit today. Can’t wait to try it out

How is that bridge in 1 of the 4 pads gonna prevent tearing all the others them apart?
