Havent been there yet since COVID. Bookmans is great as well. Its a true treasure store and they do such a great job cleaning up all stuff and making it into treasures! Arizona? I would've stopped by Maynard James Keenan's shop in Jerome. The Puscifer shop. Not too sure how it is now since the pandemic but it normally has a barber, a vinyl section, merch section and you can buy the wine too. His wine of course. And he had a restaurant too but don't think it's open anymore. I might be wrong. But I'm a huge Tool fan so I'd love to visit Arizona and even try to find a way to talk to natives and learn their history.

Dang I go to fallout all the time wish I could of seen you. 👌 awesome video. Oh and for people that live in the area I visit a few stores in a row thats pretty convenient depending on where you live. The order I go in is (the gaming zone Tempe ),(fallout with legos),(1up),and then another (the gaming zone) it’s pretty good they are like 15-20 minutes apart. That’s how I get a lot of my games

My grandma has a condo in Peoria, AZ and I didn't know there was this much retro gaming in the Pheonix area, even though I have spent a lot of time there in the last 30 years. Next time, I'm down there, I should shop around. However, speaking of retro gaming and people not knowing about that culture in a certain area, I live in metro Detroit and there are a surprising amount of retro gaming stores in this area, both chains and independent stores.

I only live about 4 hours driving distance from Phoenix. Been to conventions out there before, so now I guess I have to check out all the retro shops too! It's a good way to find some games that may never have been on your radar in the past.
Admittedly, I am someone who is just a sucker for box art and what they got going for them on the back of the box. This is how I wound up with much of my collection early on, from the .hack series to Suikoden and Xenosaga. You go mainly for PC boxed games though, whereas it's always been PS2 for me. Maybe if I manage to go to one of those places I will bring back some great additions to my collection. :D

Another great spot in Mesa, AZ for games, movies, toys, posters, etc. Is a place called the "House of used" it use to be an old blockbuster so it's pretty damn big. AZ has quite a few game stores worth checking out. Hope you enjoyed your trip, man Rock on! \m/

Bookmans looks a lot like the 2nd & Charles stores around where I live. They try to provide everything a geek would want, and the staff is typically more like that of a barnes and noble rather than an indie game store.

And bookmans never tests games. I've had several games just never work and had to return them. But they have good prices sometimes. Once I found Mutant League Football on genesis for $5! But lately the selection is brutal. Less than 10 N64 games....... and all crappy sports games.
