      Kinda makes sense.
      She's still working on becoming more emotionally open and honest with people. Getting drugged by nitrous oxide people lowered quite a few barriers for her, and Mariner's just recently developing into someone that doesn't try to slam those barriers back up.

      I loved mariner in that scene was so cute, my fav has to be marliner, I like them all but if I had to rate my favs in order it would be: 1: mariner, 2: tendi, 3: dr t’ana, 4: rulefered, 5: the captain of cellitos, 6: ransom I could kick him in his ego budge part lol he so flipping anoying and bully’s mariner try’s to change her but I hope they don’t I love her attitude she loves her mum try’s to get her mums attention all the time gives the wrong impression to them but really she whants to be noticed and close to her mum, I love these episode for how much it is straight for award straight to the point and down to earth nature wise they don’t mince there words, it’s like they make there own script up lol, it’s like they love what they do they put a lot of effort in it and are them selfs, I mean there acting is got there got actors but I think they just being themself they know there doing there acting job but they prob think why fake it make the fiction seem real just be yourself in othere charicters body’s, I think that’s what makes shows liked I think that’s why these episodes are likes, because it’s not like othere shows where ok I know it’s not real but they don’t act like they going by the scripts they’re acting like it was real alo they know the difference if you get what I mean, kind of like a fictional reality show, I think that’s what makes tv watchable, remember t`lene on the Vulcan ship remember the one on one of the Star Trek episodes I can’t remember which one where spoke mind melds with the female Vulcan and that female Vulcan gets arrested? I bet you that female Vulcan was t`len from this show lower decks.

    Anyone else get how Mariners "egg experience" related to her character as a whole?
    She didn't want to be hatched, she wanted to stay where was safe and comfortable. And she got angry and resented the people who were trying to move on around her.
    That's exactly how she treats her starfleet "career"

      Nice! I also wonder with how Mariner, and Boimler perceive each other. Boimler being some kind of a spikey urchin that mariner is still too afraid to get close to while she keeps people at reach with her long arms that ultimately get her into more trouble than it's worth with her being all wrapped up in her own preconceived notions because of her own problems.

    "Grambel, his throat slit by his mistress" has to be my new favourite Tamarian phrase.
    I SO want to know the story behind it. Did Grambel do an oops that lead his mistress to slit his throat? Is the throat slitting the oops?
    I have questions dammit! 🤔

    • @Brasswatchman
      @Brasswatchman 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      Probably something like: "Once, there was a jerk named Grambel who loved to sleep around on his wife. His wife, being the eldest daughter of an allied clan, was a powerful and jealous woman. Grambel was thus forced to move his mistress into a secluded cave in the mountains and arm her for her own safety.
      "His wife quickly caught on, of course, and stationed guards at the city gates to keep Grambel from leaving. Cunning Grambel managed to disguise himself and slip past. But so complete was his disguise that, when he arrived at the cave, his mistress confused him for an attacker and killed him." The story thus can mean both "oops, made a mistake" or "congratulations, you played yourself," depending on context.
