so glad i found this video. I am new to drones and really want one for low light (sunset / sunrise) shots on trips. With the comments you've made I think its worth seeing if DJI issue a update to fix or a new model next year to fix this.
Happy this has helped you. I would've saved so much money if more TH-camrs were truthful on the reality of things. If you're looking for low light, the latest DJI mini 4 pro drone would do a great job. But, I can personally say the Mavic Classic is hands down what you want, it's camera is amazing for low light 👍🏻
It’s certainly excellent for beginners and as I said, this is what I’d recommend for newbies. I just think it could’ve been better as I’ve never been disappointed before by DJIs cameras, pro or non pro 🤷♂️
Thank you so much for noticing buddy, I do the same on all the videos. I’m trying to establish style/brand to the channel. It seems to be working if you spotted 🙌😃
Sent mine back already similar reasons but they nail in the coffin was I got up early went out it was 6 degrees and it wouldn’t fly as it was too cold 😂.
No way, the temperature has’tdropped to that for us here in the south of England yet, but it’s good to know. What a stupid thing that it won’t operate below 6 degrees, or maybe higher 🤦♂️
Everything on the money here. Unfortunately, it appears everyone who bought this version of the NEO are beta testers for the next version. You are correct, the NEO is for the absolute beginner in the drone world. Hands down, I think it's a perfect toy to get you started. For my level of flying, I would never bring this around my fellow FPV buddies, because they would literally laugh at me all day every day. There is a reason why DJI did NOT include professional FPV pilots in this product launch. As for Vloggers...Just my Opinion, but I highly doubt that the majority of Vlogggers filming productions with GoPro 11-13 or DJI Action 4-5's will want to even use this toy for B-roll and risk wrecking the rest of their content. Great Honest Review! 👍👍👍👍👍
I couldn’t agree more, I knew when we bought it we were beta testers for it. And agree, I think our clients would laugh at us just as much 🤣 I would agree with you on vlogging too, it’s also a lot of hassle even without a controller to get it out and start flying it compared to whipping out an Action camera or phone. Unless you’re in one of those stunning locations used on their marketing 😆 I’m looking forward to the second version, so just a year then 🤦♂️ Thanks for your in depth comment buddy, and of course your support on my channel, it’s much appreciated.
Why would anyone ever think it was pro level camera? could you even get just a pro level camera at that price? Might as well trash talk cheap pocket cameras as not pro level
Of course it’s not pro, it doesn’t say NEO pro 😆. But this camera doesn’t even fit what we think is “normal” camera performance. When you compare the result with let’s say an iPhone 16, the difference is unbelievable., especially if you’re editing along side normal vlogging shots. Yeah it’s cheap, so what would anyone expect. But I expect more from DJI, not sure why they’ve compromised even on an entry level drone.
Interesting take on the neo. Dji always launch low and improve with firmware updates.theres a few issues that need to work through though.I thought i was the only person to fly that field 🤣 . Maybe see u over there one day.
That’s very true, and would follow suit with their other drones. It’s the first time I decided to test a drone there as I live opposite it in the new development. Are you local then? I was very aware of the airspace as the air ambulance sometimes lands there 😆
@Pulse8Reviews yeah I'm over the other side of Brownhill way. 2 min walk away. Been doing my flying vids there from around 2020 along with cars. . Yes the air ambulance does appear from time to time only if the generals is busy as they have a heli pad up there. The pilots that land there have always been great to talk too. I've got a few vids on here. Your recognise the place 🤣
So funny how you’ve come across my channel, was my video recommended? I don’t why I didn’t think of the place before to fly and filmed from. My studio is in Chandlers Ford and when I got the NEO, I thought he filed opposite me would be perfect to record some videos. There another going live next Tuesday. And yeah, just checked out your videos, big into your RCs then 👍 And make sense that the air ambulance land there when the general is busy. They’re certainly great guys and do an amazing job considering they’re a charity 🙌
@Pulse8Reviews I'm getting a neo so doing the yt thing gathering as much info as poss hence why your video popped up in the search. Will look out for the next video.
That’s good to hear it came up in a search, thanks for letting me know. The NEO is great fun, the next video is about the 5 things I love about it. Followed by 5 things I don’t 😆 You will find compared to you mini 3 pro the video quality is not as good, but way more fun to fly if you get the FPV googles and controller too 👍
A car salesman wouldn't even attempt to sell a Rolls-Royce to a first-time car buyer, so why on earth are you reviewing the Neo from a professional drone pilot's perspective? That isn't DJI's target market. The Neo is an ideal point and shoot drone for beginners. That's all, and it's pretty good and only a fifth of the cost of what you consider to be a "decent" drone.
I couldn’t agree more with you Scott, it’s my personal view and I do say it’s great for first time buyers. I do feel it’s not too their normal standard for camera quality even for the none pro market. Just look at their action cameras, they’re amazing. From a first time flyer pov, it doesn’t get much better and the risk is so low. I will be recommending it to anyone, just be aware it won’t look as good as your camera phone 🤷♂️
Oof, yeah, that footage isn't great, is it? I think you've hit the nail on the head, though - the market for this is vloggers and producers of short-form stuff who just want to get it out as fast as possible, and who don't have the time or inclination to use a bigger drone. I think the price speaks to that, in fairness... but you've got me thinking twice!
And to make it worst mate, only after recording this did we spot while editing that in FPV mode with rock steady on, it crops down to 1080p! And yes, it’s design for getting content out quick. I’d still get one as it’s a lot of fun. I have another 2 videos coming out and one is focused on all the great points. And it’s a lot of fun to play with 👍
That is very true and it’s amazing you don’t need a controller. I’d love to know how fast you can go before it losses you. Maybe that could be another video. I do hope that realise a pro version 🙏
I’m not even a dji fan but even I think this review misses the whole point of the Neo. Why even waste the time with such a silly comparison in the first place, move on.
I don't believe it's a waste of time making a video about it, you found the time to leave this comment. It's not all hate, checkout my other videos on it. I love the little fella, I just wished they marketed it correctly 👍🏻

Congratulations on 200 subs! Keep going love the vids 🎉
Thank you buddy, it’s great to see the subs growing, it really gives you a boost for the next video 😃🙌
This is my first drone and as a beginner and would say that I’m even very impressed by it’s excellent camera quality for its price
That’s amazing to hear, it’s such a fun drone to fly too 👍
I just got my DJI neo and I don’t understand what’s so bad about it’s camera because for it’s price and as a bigginer it’s doing excellent 🤩
It’s certainly excellent for beginners and as I said, this is what I’d recommend for newbies. I just think it could’ve been better as I’ve never been disappointed before by DJIs cameras, pro or non pro 🤷♂️
Incredible transition from the thumbnail to the video on this one. Noticed it when scrolling through my videos and yours started playing.

@@Pulse8Reviews it cost as much as a cheap android phone, compare it to that not a much more expensive iphone
@Pulse8Reviews so you're comparing a $200 drone to a $1,000-$1,600 phone...

If you consider it as a FHD@60 FPS, it's just fine.
You have a very good point here. Tomorrow I’m publishing my 5 favourite things about the little guy 👍
