Is it really that bad there? My cars only come out on the weekends and only to car shows so I'm not exposing them too much. I always have people getting videos of my cars as I'm trying to back in my driveway for the love of God and live in the country!

@TLR CAMP Wow, sounds pretty terrible. Good luck! I'm in Ohio and they say here also that Dodges are the most stolen vehicles. I keep my cars hidden as much as possible when at home. I won't even wash mine in the driveway til it's getting dark out, which is probably the best time anyways lol.

The easiest way to keep your car from being stolen, a fuel pump cut off switch and a battery disconnect switch, you can install them yourself or have it done by a shop.

As a tech back in the days I’d remove a specific positive/ground and wire it to the dash. Many cars steering columns destroyed none stolen. Once you turn off the car relay cuts off circuit automatically. Stay safe y’all!

Where I live manual trans isn't uncommon. I guess a lot of folks around here grew up on or worked on farms which you'll need to know how to drive a standard. My sons first car was stick and so was mine. But he's 20.
Wow, this is a fantastic and must-have system!! It should be automatically included when a vehicle is purchased. Doesn't make sense to buying a 50K+ car with a factory alarm knowing it's not secured....not getting your money's worth if it can get stolen so easily. Car factories should be ashamed of themselves...... $$$profit over happy customers.

You need "security by obscurity" by putting in some custom electronics that only YOUR car has. No thief will know how to defeat it. They can study the mass market OEM systems to get around them. They can always tow it, so a tracker is needed for anything expensive.
Tracker is installed - this item can be put anywhere in the car if you know what your doing besides that, they will have to tow it know other choice♠....

That shift lock is as useful as the club. Took 3 seconds to pop the middle console on my car when the dealer forgot to deactivate their alarm 😉
Great info, but I'm in Texas. My daily driver is manual, and if I'm going to be gone for awhile, I pull the ignition fuse and take it with me. No one is driving off with my car. :)

@@omari2239 Yeah, that works too but the problem is the thief could keep cranking the ignition and drain the battery down trying to start it. If you pull the ignition fuse, it just clicks and won't drain the battery. Heck, play it safe and pull both. 😬

Dodge cutting corners to keep the price down and giving their customers a trash alarm system.. the engine shouldn’t start up without the key being recognized, regardless of getting into the car… they just need to add it to the software and problem solved 🤷♂️… third party companies are going to come up on their own cheap mistake 👍

Like I said before, Old school alarm (as you mentioned) with a trigger in the drivers seat that will deploy the Air Bag in the steering wheel when they sit in the seat. "You gon' learn today" wit cho' face blew out.

This is the reason I ordered my 2021 F-150 reg cab shortbed with a key, you not only need technology to steal it. You need technology & the key. Pretty soon all vehicles will be push button start.
Waylens and 3rd party GPS tracker that's wired into the fuel pump/injectors/ECM as a kill switch. I've got 3 push button vehicles, perimeter alarm warns me if you even walk by my cars.
It really is a shame how these folks are. Steal. Scum. Vandals. Bandits. Pieces of shit that might live next to us. If not, down the block or the other side of town. Keep that Semi, Revolver or AR handy. This tech is what Dodge needs to partner with and give to all owners free of charge. Only thing keeping me back from getting a used Cat is the fact my new old house doesn’t have a garage. Like others have said, a fuel/battery kill switch that’s hard to find. A 5 dollar relay (not talking about installing a kill switch) from autozone does the same thing and there's no way to use technology to get around it.

Let's say the vehicle is at a repo yard and the bank authorized a new key to be made, a locksmith won't be able to reprogram a new key. Now the vehicle will go to auction with no key and someone will it but it'll be a dead vehicle.
True, without the Pincode anybody that does not know it's on there will never be able to make a key due to the program locking them out and the device being well hidden in car ... Any body else will be clueless and think it's a mechanical problem but it's not... Excellent Question!!!

@@sbrown4454 unless you know someone in the repo business to find out what cars are going to what auctions and are able to get in the dealers only auction and able to bid on the units, it's totally worthless. The auctions from PA and Jersey mandate that you have a dealer's license to bid and win. Then you have 24 hours to remove the vehicle after you won it.

The problem of these cars getting stolen is not cause of them turning on yes of course it’s some people with that device who turn your car on and steal it but most of the time the car is stolen cause of the manual neutral stick right there under the shift knob

Pincode is a digital cut-off Switch with a combination , & hopefully they don't find the on and off switch for a fuel pump kill switch,pull fuses every time you get in or out ,, nice trick but not something I would prefer to do...over just closing door and Security system self arming it's self ,over popping hood or truck for fuses!!!

I wanted to install an aftermarket alarm and I was told by Ford that since I have factory remote start if I try to add an aftermarket alarm it will mess it up and void the warranty 🤬

Seems like all these car manufacturers have done is make servicing them and the equipment to boost them a little more expensive than a slim Jim and some bump keys which have also been around for a while.

No problem with modern manual trans. Factory automatic brake lock while your left foot is pushing the clutch in and right foot on the gas pedal. Ford has this, I'm not sure of other brands, but I would think so. Driving since 1975 and never owned an automatic. New car a couple of years ago with manual. I thought the the auto braking was a joke, but it is a great feature.
These phone systems are pretty cool but what if youre stranded or something and your phone is broken?
Borrow a phone or get to your closest Desktop, laptop as soon as you can. Anything you can with an internet connection and you can do what your phone can do.. Just login in with your login in information & Password and your all set ♠..

Dodge put out a new update to lock the key model. So only issue is only two keys will work and you can’t reprogram a key unless you get a new model. That’s another alternative if you don’t want to spend the moment on this.
True ,,, One suppose to just slow it down, keep speed to a certain limit, & this one you will need a whole new system because new update locks it down ,can't reprogram nothing will new system if you need new keys. Some been having problems with there new update messing up there Pcm

Yeah... I own a 2017 Challenger SRT, and it's usually garage kept, but for those few times that I do leave it outside... I also have my conceal/carry. I've not spent $50K for a car just so some POS can come and steel it. Be prepared! If you think that taking my car is worth your life, then by all means... See what happens.

The software update just came out I have an appointment to have an appointment to have my key married to my module. A new key cannot be added once done.

Can someone let me know the motive behind this? Is it merely to just joy ride in these cars or are they chopping them up for parts, reselling them? Just like gang banging I find it hard to believe that tech has not done away with car thieves. I mean a lot of new cars come with apps that allow you to track their location. My Honda Clarity I can track it’s location and I know it’s no where near the cost of a scat. Does this just plague older challengers and chargers or new ones as well?

@Dino Davis the car horn blows and there's a siren that goes off like most car alarms have. Kinda like a police siren and it just isn't very loud. Other than that I'm pretty happy with the T13 and Drone app.
