    Love every one of your podcasts! I've had my eye on a crochet sweater calling for cotton yarn. I think Vivo would work great.

    Vivo would make a beautiful summer top.

    Another relaxing Sunday visit! Now that the weather is changing, the rhythm of my day has less playing in the dirt and more playing with yarn. So I will play with my yarn and brain storm about what the garden will look like next spring for the next few months! Vivo is a tough word to seamlessly incorporate so I shall just be silly and say Vivo Las Vegas or Vivo La France 🤣

      Ha! I should have thought of that! I can hear it now ... Vivoooo Las Vegas. :D

    I very much enjoy watching your podcast. The Vivo yarn is gorgeous 😮 it’d make a cute faded tee. Can’t wait to see how the bird turns out.

    Great podcast as always! Looking forward to seeing your spreadsheet video. Thankyou for keeping it simple, it's been many, many years since I've used one, and I'm sure I've forgotten most of what I knew about them. 😊

    What fun socks those Gerentia’s are - the fit looks like it would work great for high arches! I think you made a great choice switching up the BNW yarn to that great wardrobe staple top. I can’t wait to see that all worked up in your beautiful yarn. It looks like from your project bag you’ve been to Ghost Ranch and Abiquiu before so you know how beautiful the area is - I live just about an hour away ❤. VERY excited for your spreadsheet video - basic is perfect.

      I was at Ghost Ranch last year for the Knit1Hike2 retreat run by Knitting New Mexico. It was wonderful. They had one again Labor Day weekend, but I was concerned it'd be too hot. They're having a 2nd one 27-30 October which I'll be at and my husband is coming along for the hiking. You are so lucky living in such a beautiful area! :)

    Your projects are all so nice. I really like the Gerentia Sneaker Socks, the extended heel is such a good idea. I'm going to have to check out that pattern. The Vivo yarn is very pretty.

    Hi Anne, looking forward to your upcoming ‘how to’ videos. Thanks for keeping the spreadsheet idea simple 🤪 I definitely need that but am very interested in knowing how much knitting is in my knitting if that makes sense. Your multi stripe sweater is beautiful but oh the ends 😱. See you soon - Isabel 🇨🇦

    Just a thought for your blanket. You might consider using multiple fixed circular needles instead of a single circular with connectors. Roxanne Richardson has a youTube video about this technique. Thanks for your podcast, I look forward to seeing you each week.

    • @theyarnrandomizer
      @theyarnrandomizer  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Just ordered a set of tips to try this. This is how I usually knit socks (2 circs) so I think it will make it easier. I'll check out Roxanne Richardson's video too! Thank you!

  • @wendysullivan5511
    @wendysullivan5511 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Anna - I find that using multiple circular needles in a circular project really reduces the amount of time/effort I spend moving stitches. I use designated stitch stopper of some type to designate the two tips I'm working with to make it easier to find where to start =)

    • @theyarnrandomizer
      @theyarnrandomizer  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I'm definitely going to try that! Thank you!

    Those socks are cute! Purple toes were the way to go :) also, if I dint do a little negative ease in the length, the heel press out of my shoe, which is annoying. I haven't tried knitting with Vivo yet.

    • @theyarnrandomizer
      @theyarnrandomizer  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Some sandals would be a great way to show off the toes! :)

    Thanks for another lovely episode! I'll definitely join you for the "weave in 10 ends a day" challenge for my striped blanket! I also always have trouble with sewing buttons on knitted cardigans, do you have that too? I usually let them sit for weeks before I find the courage to do that.

    • @theyarnrandomizer
      @theyarnrandomizer  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Absolutely on the buttons, any finishing is 2nd priority. It's the knitting part I love, lol!

  • @nefraial

    Have you got end stoppers for your Chaigoo cords and another cord? You could put end stoppers on and use a third cord. I find those swivel cords can be a problem at the join near the needle as much as a join between cords can be a problem. Just less so as it's where I'm knitting. If you have end stoppers and a third cord you have less issue with slipping stitches around. When you come to the end of one needle you exchange the end stopper on the left cord to be knit next for the needle on the right stitches just knit up. The stitches you've just done are now stoppered both ends and the cord you have freed up (knit off) has both an end stopper and a needle on it to continue knitting with, just like the one you swapped the stopper from and will be knitting the stitches off next.
    I can see the blanket coming to the finish line soon. Will you go for a 2 colour i-cord bind off? I did. I say do it.
    The Vivo wouldn't go to waste over here, given I've made more cotton tees than I've made sweaters... I regularly make a couple every year, mostly fingering or sport weight. I like wearing cotton tees for most of the year and so do some of my family members who often want to take one I've made for myself or they ask for one in similar or different colours. I don't mind putting up with the less comfortable cotton knitting when the garments get a lot of wear. I do the same style/pattern which gives me a familiar knit in different yarns and/or colours.
    Postage costs might pose a problem though.

    • @theyarnrandomizer
      @theyarnrandomizer  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Using the stoppers is an interesting idea - I have some of those. I've ordered a 2nd set of size 7s to attach to the 2nd cord and will try 2 circulars next and see how that goes! If it comes too it I'll work out what the postage is, lol. :)

    • @nefraial
      @nefraial 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If you are planning to use needles on the cords, you may have to put a stopper (or a hair elastic lol) on the needles to be sure they don't get pulled through the stitches on a large project such as this.

    • @theyarnrandomizer
      @theyarnrandomizer  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@nefraial I've got some really good needle stoppers that will keep things behaving. :)

    I was so excited for those swivel cables. But ya….i don’t use them at all anymore. It catches the yarn so bad! Neat idea. Poorly executed.

    • @theyarnrandomizer
      @theyarnrandomizer  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I've decided to switch to two 50" circulars as some have suggested! I'm sure it will ease the shifting of stitches!

    Hi Anna- I look forward to your video on the spread sheets…..maybe it could be used for a project with the Vivo 🧶
