Love these project ideas. It feels so good to get rid of scraps.
BTW, knitting hot water bottle covers and gifting it with a hot water bottle makes a great gift. It is so comforting to use when having menstrual cramps, for cold feet in bed, etc.

For the Anesidora shawl she gives four yarn options with weights (grams needed per skein)!😍 1) scrappy 2) semi scrappy 3) two colors 4) combo (sample shown) 12-24 mini’s. The pattern is beautifully written for each option. Yay for no weaving in ends!!!!!🥳

Hello Taylor. I’m so new to knitting but was inspired by KnittyNatty. I just needed more yarn/knit chat and found you last night. I think I watched 4 vlogs in one sitting while working on my very first knit project-a washcloth with a needle definitely 4 sizes too big haha.
I jumped on Ravelry after a couple of your ideas videos and now I have so many great easy project patterns that look doable for my rookie status. I quickly became a huge fan of yours and will continue on and look forward to new videos. You’re turning this crochet girl into a bonafide knitting fanatic.

Great ideas! Thank you so much for putting these together. This year I am using my advent as the stripes in a Stria Cardigan. It's the first time knitting a cardigan on such small needles, so I will be here forever! My other stash buster is the Bits and Bobs which is in Fisherman's Rib so it's knit and knit below so it's pretty fast and you can use sock held together and Dk on the same project.

Great episode Tayler, as usual ! I love to use my ton of scraps to make the Granny Shawl by Charlene Van den Brande (available on Ravelry). Three good reasons for that : it's free - no ends to weave in, just fringes - you start at the top and you decrease on every row, which is my favorite method for a shawl.

Thank you for sharing these things with us. Sometimes you can't figure out what to do with the little bits of yarn you have. I do have a basket where all my left over yarn is and I've been working on a knit blanket for several years using the left over yarn. I love the Excavation pattern and I think I might try that. Ooh, great ideas here! I have more worsted weight than fingering/sock yarn scraps. Baby knits use smaller amounts of yarn and can still help bust stash. I have been wanting to make a pom-pom wreath for a long time out of some inherited yarn that I would normally not buy, but can still be useful.

Just knitted the FPMs for my mother-in-law for her Xmas present from me and my wife. They are a great pattern, and don't apologize for promoting them! They turned out beautifully. I'm sure she'll be thrilled:)

Oh I’m so glad! Thank you Amy! I’ve seen lots of folks playing with color with the mitts so I felt them an appropriate option. ❤️❤️

I like to make a magic knot ball and hold double with a neutral to make Stephen West's Garter Squish Throw. I've made several with both fingering and worsted weight scraps and they're always a hit.

I think several of Stephen West’s “painting” and “honeycomb” patterns could work well for stash-busting. On Ravelry he has Painting Bricks shawl, socks, mittens, hat, sweater, blanket; Painting Honeycomb shawl, blanket, sweater, jacket; Painting Waves shawl; and more. Search for “Stephen West” and “painting” to find all of these.

Your podcast is so good, Tayler! I like so many things about it but one of the best parts is that you have good taste. If you like a pattern or a color… I’m going to like it too. I trust you 100 % ! Everything you show is gold. ❤

Once again, a super useful video! And it helps that you have such good taste, so I don't have to cringe at your recommendations.

I really enjoyed this. I’m going to head of]ver to your page to check out the rest. I’m hoping to find more for thicker yarns. I have a lot of worsted and bulky weight yarns. Maybe I will knit or crochet a throw.

Great video! Last year I made the shortest day shawl, I used the 2021 sound of music advent by skeincocaine and oh how I love it. This year I already finished one advent project, the Brightside Sweater (it’s not a striped pattern but I did 10 rows of each color) with the HedgeHog Fibre 2022 advent and now I’m making JessieMaed’s Hello From my Colors Crop with Hello Stella’s 2022 Marie Antoinette advent, I’m a big fan of stripes so I love making projects with minis

another phenomenal podcast!! you pack in so much info and fun ;) an especially useful video since I just bought my husband a hot water bottle as a 'gag' gift for christmas - he's always complaining that I don't warm up his side of the bed for him - and need to knit up a cover -- yay!! 🐑 warm wishes for the holidays 🎄

Oh Ursula this is such a nice compliment. Thank you! And what a sweet gift for your husband, even if it is a gag gift. I mean it’s extra romantic if it has its own sweater. 😉❤️

For me, it’s Selbu mittens. Super pretty, takes not a lot of yarn. Generally though? I let my scraps and minis back up a while before I set them up in pairs/trios and make something with a bunch of simple color work stripes. Usually a cowl or something else simple that I don’t need to worry about floats on.

What yarn did you use for this lovely green sweater you are wearing? I probably saw your podcast on it as I have seen most but do not recall. It looks so beautiful on you. Thank you Tayler for all these fantastic moments in the knitting world. I wait for your Sunday and Wednesday broadcasts as they are my treat in the mist of a busy, hectic day.

I don't have pattern suggestions, but I find I really like to use scraps with brioche stitch, striped in half fisherman's rib, or other textured stitches like slipped stitches. My personal taste, but I find that textured stitches can pull the colors into conversation with each other rather than blending like with a marl. To each their own! I love scrappy projects!
