    Normally when a skunk taps its feet and has its tail up, those are normally warning signs that it's about to spray you. Now since this is a domestic skunk I could see why the body language would be for different things, but seriously never ever go closer to a wild skunk when it's tapping its feet.

      @@americangirl6654 - When you feed wild animals you swell their population and ruin the balance in the ecosystem. It also weakens the gene pool of the animals you're feeding. You are inadvertently keeping the weaker animals in the population alive that otherwise would die. Thus endangering the species and taking a chance of wiping out the local population.

    Foraging...
    All I can think of are dogs like my mom's Boston that walk around over and over, looking for any little scrap of food on the floor, licking spots where food might have been.
    And if they're really crazy for food, it'll be like a crackhead who swears they dropped a piece and is picking through the carpeting in a room they never even smoked in.
    "Foraging" makes it sound so natural, and fun, but not sure if this is the behavior you want to teach, regardless of animal. In fact, forget animals; if you told a person you've hidden an unknown amount of their most desirable thing, how/when would they know to stop looking?

    I never would think that skunks would be pets. From growing up watching Pepe Lapew cartoons I thought skunks would not be good pets from the obvious reasons of their natural defense the skunk smell, and mostly I would not take in a wild animal from its natural habitat but from watching online videos and seeing folks with pet skunks I am thinking I would like one but what do I know about raising skunks? I mean what do they even eat?

      I don’t know. But in Ohio and Indiana you can have them. In some states they have to be registered too. In England the whole country is allowed to have them but they must be de-scented. It’s a vast variety of rules all over. I cant have one in my state.

      @@Mytube777 Actually it's Illegal to de-scent a skunk in the UK. You are free to own one but the scent glands must be in tact. It's considered animal cruelty so it's forbidden.

      You ever owned pets before? Certain pets need certain types of vaccines so they don't get sick or die. Otherwise the lift expectancy of some pets would be years shorter. For example theres a vaccine for rabies which has saved plenty of animals after getting bitten from infected animals.

    Disturbing to see a skunk in private ownership. It's a wild animal and no pet. Even removing it's ability to defend itself. The glands should be there. Because those shall not be in a house. Tucker is absolutely more than happy. But again, wild animals in private homes on a permanent basis, not good.

    • @thugpug4392
      @thugpug4392 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      There are domestic skunks. Skunks are very affectionate and enjoy human interaction. Dogs, cats, horses, chickens, etc. were once only wild animals as well but we domesticated them. Domestication of skunks isn't inherently bad they seem to make a pretty good pet.

    • @kelseybordeaux9206
      @kelseybordeaux9206 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pet Skunks are not Wild,they are specifically Bred for Domestication and come from other Domestic Skunks. These animals are not Wild Caught,therefore they do not have the instincts to survive in the Wild.

    Why has his scent glands been removed? If its just so they can keep a wild animal as a pet then his owners need lobotomies as humans are prone to violence and are the most dangerous species.
