      Rome that is great advice, some things I use to accomplish this are:
      Playing bayo in general
      Willing myself to not use combos and rely solely on neutral

      Styli yeah, that can be a sucky situation, luckily for me, I have one friend who's stayed on pace with me incredibly well to the point where I'd say neither of us is better than the other. I wish I knew an instant fix, but I don't think there is one. Just give yourself dumb challenges or, if you have more than 2 controllers, play free for alls. Even though I am one of the best in the friend group, we have a pretty even spread of who wins because I can't react to being gordo'd from across the stage while 1v1'ing a robin with an arc-fire fetish.

      @dims4627 3 ปีที่แล้ว +35

      @@KGBos Sure! When you're hit and launched in the air you're going to be in a this weird state of falling when you can't control the direction too much and can't fastfall (pressing down when in the air makes you land much faster). Most of the time you want to use some quick aerial attack to exit this state. Though I must say sometimes it's worth to just jump like most would do, it depends.

    Some other tips i find helpful in regards to characters
    1] once you have a character you like, stick to it, or you sorta get stuck as a jack of all trades, master of none.
    2] ignore the tier lists. If you are great with a low-tier character, its going to perform better than trying to use a high-tier character you dont like. Everyones play style is different.
    3] if the game stops being fun, take a break for a while and come back. Getting burnt out is not going to help you improve and youre more likely to just mindlessly press buttons.

      Also, if you're gonna do this, learn to fast fall to ledge. I've seen many people try to do this too high and just land on stage into my loving forward smash, so get used to fast falling to ledge so you don't land on stage, or worse, fast fall through ledge and hit the bottom blast zone.

    This is cool and all, but any recommendations at even level down or 2 from this?

    if you are low down when they look for a stage spike, don't air dodge up because it is the most laggy option you could choose especially if you don't have a good airdodge

    BSD says that due to the buffer system (holding a button to perform after being in a vulnerable state), it is best to hold up and special while pressing shield to tech. That way, you will tech if you are stage spiked, but if not, up special will come out. The buffer system has a priority system, where special is higher than shield.

    Some good tips, thanks! But to give some feedback, as a beginner I didn't understand a lot of the terms you were using, and in many clips it was difficult to figure out which player you were talking about when multiple on screen.

    When I was a worse player I thought none of this was helpful; as it was stuff I already knew. I am now rewatching and finally realizing I was only AWARE but I didn't KNOW.

    Wow ... My brother was looking to get better and was looking for videos on stuff like this. At first, I said he should ignore yours because I was thinking too much of your videos with funny subjects. After a brief moment and after seeing how many views it had compared to the other ones nearby, I remembered how impressively analytical you are and how you articulately explain gameplay in slow-motion; then, I encouraged him to watch it and loved it with him.
