  • I just got this 2008 Suzuki Boulevard C50 not too long ago and I've been recently doing a lot of routine maintenance on it to keep it in good running condition. This is one of the last maintenance that I had to do on it. Thanks for watching.

    Nice Bike! I had a 2006 C50T with all the original bags and windshield, sissybar, etc. I presently own a 2012 C50T classic. I shop at Temecula Motorsports too. Don’t see too many Suzuki Boulevards around town. Hope to see you on the road and share some stories.

    Thanks for posting this video. It really did help me. In November 2022, I purchased a 2007 Suzuki Boulevard C50T VL800T and would like to know how you put a batwing faring on it. Do you have a video on how you put a batwing fairing on your bike? Many thanks.

    Very nice video, thank you. What is the capacity of the rear gear box?

    I posted my comment too soon, I see that you put in about seven oz of gear oil. thank you again.

    Thanks again for this video....it's going to help me when it comes time for me to change it on mine. BTW....you might want to consider new tires....looks like the back tire is dry rotted. I'm not being critical, just thinking about your safety! ( I happen to like your videos and would like to see more in the future! ) :) Peace!

    Hint - *FIRST* remove your fill plug *THEN* your drain plug because if you can’t get the fill plug loose, you’re screwed because the oil is already emptied.

    • @Krispy1011
      @Krispy1011 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not really - why can't you rotate the tire and fill it through the drain port?

      my bad - I see you are correct - sorry- you would have to turn the bike over to do what I suggested!

    That rear tire should have been the first of the maintenance bro. Dry rot on the sidewalls is a time bomb. I'm guessing the front looks similar.

      Old Video. Replaced the tire a long time ago with Michelin Commanders. Thanks for watching.

    I really like the batwing fairing. How tall are you to need a 9 inch screen on top. I’m 6 foot 2 so I’m interested personally.

    Hey, your tire sidewalls looked cracked. You might want to change those tires to make sure there is no dry rot in them..

      It's made by Willie & Max Saddle Bags. It is not Lockable though. You have to create your own lock. Good luck.

    Would u tell me how much of new fluid that u put in the DIf. In ounces. Thanks. Ron
    Please advise

    • @RandyPalma
      @RandyPalma  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not too much. As soon as it start coming out from the top hole you should stop. It will spill a little, it’s ok.

    How much oil did you have to put in it?

    • @RandyPalma
      @RandyPalma  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Seven to eight ounces is OK.

  • @tobiasgilman4909

    Final drive gear oil isn't transmission fluid...its gear oil for the rear gears of the drive shaft. Your transmission is pieced w your engine up front. When u fill your final drive you should fill it until it reaches the threads inside the top bolt hole...when you replace the bolt..the excess will just be pushed out anyways and wasted. Otherwise good video. Nice bike.

    Do you have to ride the bike to warm oil before draining?

    • @RandyPalma
      @RandyPalma  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, it wouldn’t hurt. It’s actually good just to cycle the oil a little before replacing it.
