Hi, have you try The Minimalist products.they are affordable would appreciate if you do reviews on the vitamin c +E+ferulic 16%, tranxcemic accident and the multi peptide serum.just looking for effective and affordable products ❤
I share your difficult skin type and I’ve actually been using the reedle shot with calming and hydrating ingredients instead of actives, and I feel like it has helped a lot! Also have you tried the etude my lash serum? I’ve been eyeing the jumbo version on yesstyle and have been so curious, it’s got a lot of good reviews but would love to see some people try it!
I have the Reedle 100. My skin care routine is on point. And because of that I haven’t seen any difference using the reedle… the next morning. Maybe a bit plumper. I’ll use it up. But won’t repurchase.
LOL! I also had to pause on the new Charlotte Tilbury moisturizer. I’ve been plowing through it like it’s not $100. It’s so good but I have to be real with myself lol.
I love this video so much! I've been a silent viewer for a while and I appreciate your honest reviews! I'm also wondering if you posted your rotation routine when it comes to acne? I also use a lot of actives for my acne to keep it under control but I don't know how to go about it correctly without destroying my skin barrier love ya 🥰
The Snoxin product reminds me of the Intoxicated Cosmetics line where their products use venom derived peptides from pit vipers, cone snail, and bees for anti aging. Maybe you can check them out!
I actually like Stratia’s Lipid Gold Eye, buy found it is so much better if i first put on one drop of TO Multi Peptide Eye Serum. Try it, somehow the combination works wonders for me, and the serum somehow seems to dramatically soften the yellow.
I love the AboutFace foundation so far! I have very sensitive skin and I’m on prescription topicals that sensitize me, and it doesn’t irritate my skin. I chose L2 Olive, but since I actively avoid the sun (I’m prescribed hydroquinone to lighten hyperpigmentation), F2 Olive would probably have matched a tad better just because the foundation oxidizes a bit.
Alice im using the reedle shot 100 and I like it but I have found that irritation does occur around my face, it itches. I have the 300 but its really strong. I will stick to 100 and use it every other day. I put a moisturizer around my face where the irritation occurs to act as a barrier, so it doesn't get as irritated. I put snail mucin also to prevent irritation.
Hello Alice, I like the two or three formats of your videos and also this one, I don't have a preference, maybe you can incorporate them all, because they all have a different approach to the products you are trying. I hope you are well and have a great week 🥰
This is a great idea for a video, I enjoyed it! Always enjoy your video's and have lots of catching up to do as life got away from me but now I am quieter again taking it easy for health. Thank you Alice for always teaching me something new, even at 50! 🥰
You seem like an intelligent woman so I am surprised that you are unable to pump a small amount of product from the Strata LG Eye Cream. It is quite easy to just lightly tap the pump and disperse a small amount. I have arthritis in my hands and I have no problem doing so. This is a wonder eye cream.
I'm intrigued with that new lash serum, it sounds great and a great price. I really want to try that needle shot but for some reason haven't gone through with the purchase. Snoxin 11 sounds intriguing as well , I have seen that before. I can't believe Face gym is taken over😂 that shiz is pricy , I was looking at the new cream and was like 95$ for what 😂 idk if the ingredients looked 95$ worthy. I have that face gym essence in my ❤list too ,I can't wait to hear what u think of it .
It’s nice to hear the reasons why you replace certain products w/ others. I’m always trying to improve my basic skincare routine while keeping it simple/manageable. 😏 Do you maintain a regular skincare routine - (not including new/gifted products that you’re testing) w/ products that have proven to be effective?
Hi Alice. I am trying out the VT 100 micro needling serum first. I hope it will work on the days when I take a break from the facial machine device. Will feedback upon using the serum when it arrives. Some beige foundations also gives me too much olive undertone and my skin has certain undertones color of grey and pink as well. Yup, I can only correct it using a color corrector and concealer to get the full coverage. I do not like the eye serum applicator since it often gives me too little discharge... Perhaps I have a tendency to use more? 😅
Yes please let me know how it goes for you! And i do blame the pump more than us, as it seems a common problem. It might be better in a squeeze tube, I’m thinking 🤔
I love that I found your channel, I learn so much! ❤ I'm wondering if you might consider showing how to use the Medicube eye shot? I bought it, but I'm not 100% sure how to use the first mode. It says to use on dry skin, but it just seems to drag on the skin badly. I'm sure I'm doing this wrong. And Medicube does not seem to answer messages.
I’m going to try to explain it to the best of my knowledge: Shot mode = “electrical shots” that mimic microneedling (think of it like teeny little, invisible lightning bolts). You want to tap this mode, like how lightning taps the ground. Booster mode = electroporation/electrical pulses that push product into the skin (for greater absorption). Roll this OVER product, like how you massage moisturizer into your skin Hope that helps!
I am not that impressed with Stratias eye cream. Yeah it's great for the face but I'm halfway done and haven't anything to report The. SK II is phenomenal Enjoying the RNW ceramides serum Also the numbuzin vitamin B5 serum. And the Sana sou milk wrinkle night cream oh boy it's rich thick yummy to plaster on over everything. Great video format. ❤
I’m glad you’re loving the Sana! I did pass mine along to Ara after realizing it seemed up her alley and lo and behold, she told me it’s now her favorite moisturizer haha 😁
I was so happy to see the Joah eye concealer serum ❤ I’ve been loving Joah products, especially the luminizer stick over my Alastin tinted spf for a little extra coverage and their powder and milky cream mist to set. They’re so natural looking on the skin.
I can’t figure out why that brand is so underrated on social media! Their brow pencil is one of my longest running holy grails, and I gotta admit this concealer is incredible as well
this is also exactly how I use Stratia Lipid Gold eye cream. When I was comparing the formulation between the eye cream and the Lipid Gold cream I decided that it made more sense for my skin to use the eye cream this way, in combination with Interface.
Ahhh I have mixed feelings- nooo on the setting aside of the Ordinary's multi-peptide serum (I love) but also Yay! for picking up the Snoxin II! I actually brought this up in the comments of a recent video asking if anyone else was using it! I picked it up at Target (so yeah, I guess it is drugstore, among other things maybe? Oh and also right now- as of 2/2/24, all the Indeed Labs products at my local Kansas-area Target were 50% off!) and I've been using it for a few weeks; daily for about two weeks. No noticeable results yet but we'll see. I'm excited to see your ongoing thoughts on it!
Whoa nice, 50% off!? 👀 Someone else commented that they use it with the ordinary’s peptide, and since reading that I’ve been over here going “…well why not both indeed” 🤣
I used to use The ordinary in 2020 when they were really popular, but now that every brand has jumped on the actives bandwagon, plus all the K and J Beauty, TO has fallen of the pedestal for me. I fine their products to be either too strong/sting in a lot of cases, or the formula is difficult to use/not elegant/hard to use with other products, and there are better alternatives albeit more expensive for a lot of their stuff
True, I’m gathering that may be a fairly common experience for many folks! There really are so many options out there, and especially with how lovely the textures are on K and J Beauty, TO has a lot of competition!
You should also consider if the description of the foundation shade includes 'neutral' or 'warm' together with the 'olive undertone'. The rose inc one is "neutral olive" which tells you that it's an olive that is leaning on the neutral side, while the smashbox only includes "olive" which tells you that it's a more saturated olive than a 'neutral olive'. Same thing if a foundation is a warm olive (or warm with olive undertones), while it's an olive expect it to be a warmer shade of olive.
Tbh I haven’t used the LM long enough to give a review, but I will say I’m impressed by how it really does feel like I’m wearing nothing That said, the Revlon (foundation, haven’t tried the tint) is also a really, really good option. One of the best I’ve tried period, not just in drugstore
Alice, Have you ever tried any of the Timeless serums? They have very well formulated and transparent when it comes to percentages peptide serums and also one called Coenzyme Q10 which has 8% of Matrixyl 3000 and Q10 2% (scientifically proven to be effective in antiaging), I wonder if you liked them more than Buffet? The price is super comparable around 25, but a tiny bit more ecpensive, however, I think that is justified by the added 2% of Q10, oh also aloe vera in the formula that would suit your skin type, I assume:)
@@paulayarbrough6930 What results do you see and how would you compare it to the ORdinary Peptide serums?:)) also do you layer Synthe with Q10? I saw Timeless says not to and I was annyed by it, since it would make such a perfect routine!:>
@@ainakunigelyte I just started using them so I can't say yet as far as wrinkles/anti aging goes but what I will say is...Both are hydrating and the textures will surprise you. The Matrixyl Synthe 6 has a silky texture, it's not heavy whatsoever, no smell, absorbs quickly and completely into your skin. I haven't had any issues with peeling or any dryness/irritation. The Coenzyme q10 has a milky silky texture. It's a little heavier than the Matrixyl Synthe 6 but it's not heavy. Just like the Matrixyl Synthe 6 serum I've had no issues with it. Both work great with my other products and no issues with makeup. You do have to shake the Coenzyme q10 though before using it and it does have a slightly odd smell but it instantly goes away, it doesn't linger. I've never used them together. I guess I should read why Timeless says not to. I use the Coenzyme q10 in my morning routine and the Matrixyl Synthe 6 at night. You can either purchase directly from Timeless or look on their website where it says where to purchase. They have a link that will take you directly to their only authorized Amazon seller ( Pattern ) I bought mine from Amazon only because free shipping and free easy returns. I really like how these serums have a short ingredients list. I know everyone's skin is different but I looked at the reviews on Amazon and seen pictures of what the cq10 serum did for this woman's skin and 😮 I'm hoping I'll have the same results. I signed up for emails and now that I've tried them and like them, I'll most likely purchase from Timeless next time because they do have sales. I hope this helps 🥰
Ironically I saw an buy any full price item get a kit free sale the other day from Elemis (I paid more attention when you said you were still seeing them) but it was a dinky gift kit... Also not a color expert, but I agree that there are vast differences in "similar" formulations. That said I try to think of: (i) depth as the black to white ratio to achieve skin tone, for example fair, light, medium, deep, etc.; (ii) undertone as the specific color associated with the foundation (warm, neutral, cool, and more specifics like pink, olive, peach, etc.); and (iii) saturation as the amount of total color in the formula (think about adding contrast to a picture vs. scaling it to a black/white photo). I try not to think as saturation as the level of any specific color in a formula and instead factor that into the undertone as a formula that is "medium neutral/olive" would have less saturation of color associate with the undertone than a "medium olive." Personally when I look at your Smashbox vs. Rose Inc. comparison I'm seeing a difference in both saturation and undertone. Side-by-side the Smashbox looks very yellow to me, with higher saturation emphasizing the color as a whole. It does run a bit green and not just yellow, so I could support the Olive claim, but it almost makes your skin and the Rose Inc formula look pink by comparison. That said if I pull open the Rose Inc. arm swatches, the 1N is far pinker and more saturated than your 2N shade, so it's not that 2N leans heavily pink, it's just that Smashbox squeezed a lot out of the yellow tube. As someone who finds my closest match by squirting liquid pink blush into foundations, you might try finding a low saturation green color corrector and mixing a tiny amount into more standard neutral color schemes. If it works, I'd seek low saturation neutral fair shades and add a tiny bit of corrector vs. "hoping" every olive shade works. About Face F01 might be too light, but it's a good example of a baseline though maybe a bit yellower than what you're looking for with Rose Inc. I will say the Laura Mercer also looks more yellow to me than the rose inc, but different light for the images and it looks like it has more coverage so could be misleading.
Yup, ironically it was the quest for more knowledge that made me realize I’m not qualified to talk about color theory - hue, depth, shade - it’s a lot! I agree that smashbox added a lot of yellow, which I think a lot of brands assume applies to olives (ie that all olives are warm/yellow). But even yellow can be cool-toned, so it doesn’t tell the whole story. I quite like that it seems Rose Inc at least stuck with a neutral option, as it really does seem to have a good balance of cool and warm (not all brands master the balance here) That is a very good idea to get a corrector. I used to use one from Algenist and it really was such a good way to get a perfect match!
I am with you on the stratia eye cream, I will have to try it for dry patches tho. I struggle with dry patches sometimes on my cheeks and forhead so it seems like it might work. for an eye cream tho .... NAh Im good lol
Thanks Alice! Curious what results you get with lash serum. Also please do Medicube video-I want to try a device but which one do I need if I already have ZIIP and LED mask and panel?
Well tbh they are all optional, but I would say the most different are: Age-R original. I actually like to use this with the ziip! I start with Age-R, use the ussera, and finish with ziip’s “founders favorite” routine Second, go figure ussera haha. That one seems to be RF as it uses heat combined with ultrasound. I found this very effective for fading smile lines That’s my 2-3x a week AM routine, I use the boosters most (but not all) days, and I do LED at night. Hope that helps!
@@AliceintheRabbitHole thank you-it is confusing because they have too many products starting with age-r. So ussera is your favorite for lift or collagen boosting?
The labs snoxin II serum has been on my radar for some time. Chickened out of experimenting😅. Would love to know how all the new choices work out for you. Question: When you use an expensive serum like the Sulwhasoo first care serum, do you use it once or twice a day. If once a day, is it better to use in the evening.
I’ve used VT REEDLE shot for a few months now and honestly I’ve noticed my skin healing faster and the texture looking smoother. It sounds scary but the results are real. I am +30 years old and have always been acne prone, I’m also required to wear a mask at work still and have noticed that my mask acne has also gotten so much better. I’ve also noticed that my smile lines have also smoothed out, my makeup no longer settles into the corner of my smile. I have Medicube devices too but when I’m feeling lazy I’d rather use Reedle shot.
I will forever say skin gym when I mean Face gym and Face gym when I mean skin gym 😂😂 I do think Face gym is the better of the two though I have been interested in some of their products! So interested to see your thoughts on Snoxin!!
I thought I'm the only one who didn't like the VT Reedle. It makes my texture shows more and I can feel the roughness in the morning. It's the opposite of everyone's experiences so I try using it couple more times. Sadly I get the same result as before, so now it sitting nicely in my drawer unused :(
I feel like it’s always hard to have a different opinion from social media 🤐 (to this day, I still get hate comments on my numbuzin video lol) But yep, nothing is for everyone!
Help? Could you PLEASE recommend an spf that ACTUALLY works to protect from uv rays? One that you’ve personally tried in full sun and found to have been protective? I can’t seem to find one that is more than just aesthetically pleasing. Thank you!
For me, the reedle skincare wasnt worth the hype. Glad i refunded returned it so i dont have it in my house anymore. My skin wasn't liking it even if it started looking bright, but then my skin then started getting irritated, itchy, started some acne on my forehead while I started having these small white bumps everywhere on my face. I had to put a stop to it. I tried to keep liking it, but decided the truth is better than pretending, so I didn't use the product anymore.
I have the same problem with lipid gold turning my pale skin orange, so both of those products are always slotted in my night routine... unless I add a very tiny drop to the peptide cream during the day I can usually get away with it not turning me orangey😅
@AliceintheRabbitHole speaking of makeup. I have a odd question on 1st step cleaning. I see in videos that we should be taking sunblock down the neck, over ears, and onto the chest; yet I don't see any videos from anyone, clean the neck or chest. Is this for convenience of filming of not showing drips on camera? Because I get water alllll over rincing my oil cleanser off. Haha it's seriously all over! Ha! I might need a waterproof bib!!
mmhmm yeah, I’ve filmed myself applying it to my ears as well as removing it, but it…it does look odd. Or maybe I’m not used to seeing it, which is why it looks odd? It always gets edited out 👀

I also use a lot of actives for my acne to keep it under control but I don't know how to go about it correctly without destroying my skin barrier love ya 🥰
I do it yearly around spring, so coming soon for this year! Thanks for watching ☺️
@AliceintheRabbitHole thank you for the reply I am looking forward to that video! 😀
The Snoxin product reminds me of the Intoxicated Cosmetics line where their products use venom derived peptides from pit vipers, cone snail, and bees for anti aging. Maybe you can check them out!
Oh interesting, yeah i know syn-ake is a popular peptide as well, and modeled after snake venom. Ah, science! 😍
I actually like Stratia’s Lipid Gold Eye, buy found it is so much better if i first put on one drop of TO Multi Peptide Eye Serum. Try it, somehow the combination works wonders for me, and the serum somehow seems to dramatically soften the yellow.
That’s a great way to problem solve!
I already microneedle, but I I am still interested in the reedle shot for when I am too lazy to do microneedling, a full routine and use devices.
You can just go to a clinic
@@sowhat1674 and spend hundreds of dollars? Nah
@MarcustheWu once every other month is not that overpriced. You are looking at 600-800 a year, which is a reasonable price.
Hello Alice, I like the two or three formats of your videos and also this one, I don't have a preference, maybe you can incorporate them all, because they all have a different approach to the products you are trying. I hope you are well and have a great week 🥰
Thank you for your thoughts! Hope you have a great weekend/week too ☺️
This is a great idea for a video, I enjoyed it! Always enjoy your video's and have lots of catching up to do as life got away from me but now I am quieter again taking it easy for health. Thank you Alice for always teaching me something new, even at 50! 🥰
Hope you are doing well! 💕
Snoxin 2 has worked amazingly well for my fine lines. I pair it with TO argireline. I've been using it for at least a year
Combining those two sounds like such a genius idea!
❤ this format and super good content. Definitely interested in Stratia and Indeed Labs. Thank you
I love that I found your channel, I learn so much!
I’m going to try to explain it to the best of my knowledge:
Shot mode = “electrical shots” that mimic microneedling (think of it like teeny little, invisible lightning bolts). You want to tap this mode, like how lightning taps the ground.
Booster mode = electroporation/electrical pulses that push product into the skin (for greater absorption). Roll this OVER product, like how you massage moisturizer into your skin
Hope that helps!
@AliceintheRabbitHole that helps a great deal and makes perfect sense, thank you so much! 😊 💕
I am not that impressed with Stratias eye cream. Yeah it's great for the face but I'm halfway done and haven't anything to report
The. SK II is phenomenal
Enjoying the RNW ceramides serum
Also the numbuzin vitamin B5 serum.
@@AliceintheRabbitHole I think I also have the soy milk co q 10 toner too which I definitely love. Have a great weekend.
Their brow pencil is one of my longest running holy grails, and I gotta admit this concealer is incredible as well
Such a great video idea!! Let me watch ❤
I love using the stratia lipid gold eye cream in my skincare egg with the interface I emailed them if it was okay to do that and they said it was fine
Oooh. I’m definitely going to give that a try!
this is also exactly how I use Stratia Lipid Gold eye cream. When I was comparing the formulation between the eye cream and the Lipid Gold cream I decided that it made more sense for my skin to use the eye cream this way, in combination with Interface.
I am looking forward to “reasons”. That is one of your very best things and I am so looking forward to this.
I was looking to buy the stratia eye cream, but not if your not loving it !
Love and appreciate your videos 😊 your skin is glowing!! What's your face routine if you don't mind me asking?
Hi Alice. Getting ready to eat. I will be back. Letting it play.❌️⭕️
Oh and also right now- as of 2/2/24, all the Indeed Labs products at my local Kansas-area Target were
50% off!) and I've been using it for a few weeks; daily for about two weeks. No noticeable results yet but we'll see. I'm excited to see your ongoing thoughts on it!
Whoa nice, 50% off!? 👀
Someone else commented that they use it with the ordinary’s peptide, and since reading that I’ve been over here going “…well why not both indeed” 🤣
I like the idea of using both. Different peptides!
Alice! Hi! I love this format!
Great video....I like the Saem concealer, I got it for around $7 on Stylevana.
The pot or the tube? I like that brand as well!
@@AliceintheRabbitHole The concealer I have is in the tube
@@AliceintheRabbitHole Specifically, it's called Cover Perfection Tip Concealer
I used the Ordinary's peptide on eyebrow to test, and no difference in months, it doesnt do anything, i am ditching it too
You should also consider if the description of the foundation shade includes 'neutral' or 'warm' together with the 'olive undertone'.
Great point!
Between the Revlon Illuminance vs the Laura Mercier Weightless, which one do you prefer?
Tbh I haven’t used the LM long enough to give a review, but I will say I’m impressed by how it really does feel like I’m wearing nothing
That said, the Revlon (foundation, haven’t tried the tint) is also a really, really good option.
Whaaat whoa. I haven’t tried it, but coq10 and peptides are among my favorite ingredients. They are together in that product!? 😱
I love the Timeless Coenzyme q10 Serum and their Matrixyl Synthe 6 Serum ❤❤❤❤
@@AliceintheRabbitHolethe texture of the Coenzyme Q10 and Matrixyl Synthe 6 serums are so incredibly lovely 😍 I highly recommend trying them both.
I try not to think as saturation as the level of any specific color in a formula and instead factor that into the undertone as a formula that is "medium neutral/olive" would have less saturation of color associate with the undertone than a "medium olive."
Personally when I look at your Smashbox vs. Rose Inc. comparison I'm seeing a difference in both saturation and undertone.
I quite like that it seems Rose Inc at least stuck with a neutral option, as it really does seem to have a good balance of cool and warm (not all brands master the balance here)
That is a very good idea to get a corrector.
I start with Age-R, use the ussera, and finish with ziip’s “founders favorite” routine
Second, go figure ussera haha. That one seems to be RF as it uses heat combined with ultrasound. I found this very effective for fading smile lines
That’s my 2-3x a week AM routine, I use the boosters most (but not all) days, and I do LED at night. Hope that helps!
@@AliceintheRabbitHole thank you-it is confusing because they have too many products starting with age-r. So ussera is your favorite for lift or collagen boosting?
I bet if u added Stratia LG to that Neogen cream it would be really nice.
I usually use it once because…it’s expensive 🤣
But it doesn’t really matter to use it AM or PM imo, wherever it fits in best!
@AliceintheRabbitHole Thank you. Yes. I am frugal, too. 😀
Haha I just ordered that reedleshot product to try...
Is the EGF in the lash serum barley based or other? I recall Dr Dray reviewed Indeed Labs a few years ago including the Snoxin product.
That’s a good question! I’ll see if I can find an answer
I love Dr. Dray....I watch her daily
Thank you again for another very informative video
I will forever say skin gym when I mean Face gym and Face gym when I mean skin gym 😂😂
I do think Face gym is the better of the two though I have been interested in some of their products!
So interested to see your thoughts on Snoxin!!
Agreed, skingym gives me copycat vibes lol, like a more expensive revolution 🤐
I thought I'm the only one who didn't like the VT Reedle. It makes my texture shows more and I can feel the roughness in the morning. It's the opposite of everyone's experiences so I try using it couple more times. Sadly I get the same result as before, so now it sitting nicely in my drawer unused :(
I feel like it’s always hard to have a different opinion from social media 🤐 (to this day, I still get hate comments on my numbuzin video lol)
But yep, nothing is for everyone!
I like this format, too! 🤗
Glad to hear! 😁
Help? Could you PLEASE recommend an spf that ACTUALLY works to protect from uv rays? One that you’ve personally tried in full sun and found to have been protective? I can’t seem to find one that is more than just aesthetically pleasing. Thank you!
J-Beauty. Check out my “waterproof” sunscreens video!!
What’s the texture of the Anua toner like vs the Paula’s Choice vs the Isntree one? Thanks!
All of them are watery, I prefer to use them with a cotton pad!

I'm so glad i didn't order the Stratia eye cream
The only problem with this format is that I live in Chile and I can't find everything you show in this video 😘
True, I wish worldwide shipping was more common! 😩
I need your hat!
I LOVE The Lipid Gold eye cream ALL OVER my face 😂
I have the same problem with lipid gold turning my pale skin orange, so both of those products are always slotted in my night routine... unless I add a very tiny drop to the peptide cream during the day I can usually get away with it not turning me orangey😅
Has anyone tried the No7 retinol eye cream ??
No, but I did try (and actually loved!) their retinol. Shockingly great formula, so I wouldn’t be surprised if the retinol eye is nice too
Pepperidge farm remembers!
More makeup included would be a great return.
I’m glad to hear 😁
It always gets edited out 👀
It's not a NEEDLE SHOT. It's REEDLE SHOT. looool 🤣🤣 sounds to scary~
Those 2 "Beauty" eye creams ain't cheap
