    I have this attachment. I actually bought a machine just for grinding instead of using this grinder. One of the things I learned to make it work even better is to cut the meat into strips not chunks. They will self feed into the grinder. Used to take 15 to 20 minutes to grind 5 lbs of meat. once I started using strips, it only takes about 5 minutes. works SO MUCH better. Was worth the money. the machine I use now is for doing larger amounts of meat. but I do still use the kitchen aid attachment.

    Nice Jack.... According to Gordon Ramsey the best meats to grind for a burger are chuck, bnls beef rib and brisket mixed together. I'm gonna try that one day. My second batch of pork sausage came out great. You gotta try it. Also just purchased a used sausage stuffer from Ebay. Can't wait. The stuffer on the Kitchenaid works but it's a pain.

    Jack run a piece of white bread through the grinder to clear all the meat out good way to know when to stop grinding when you see white start to appear.

    Hi Jack, Luv the show. Here is a tip for your grinder. Use a slice of bread at the end to pull out all the meat inside. We use ours all the time.

    Jack, even Rachel Ray will tell you that to keep your Burgers from plumping up in the middle, you need to flatten the centre of your patty. As I can't show you how to flatten the centre, I can only say that your patty is a large "O" with a small "o" pressed in the centre.
    I've been doing this for years, and it works every time.
    It's easier to stack your condiments, bacon, lettuce, tomato, cheese, pickle , or whatever else you want with your burger. I hope you understand what I'm trying to explain to you. If not, you can try asking "Rachel Ray", she will know how to explain this better than I can.
    Love your TH-cam videos, keep them coming!

    Thank u for making this video Jack! I ordered this from amazon last week and just got it Friday. I came right to your channel with the hopes you had one and made a video and to my amazement, you did! I just successfully made my first homemade burger meat thanks to this video. I used the same meat but instead of sausage, I used bacon and ground that together. OMG juiciest burger ever! After I ground the meat/bacon together I added cheddar cheese cubes and re-ground it all like you did. It was seriously the best flippin burger I've ever had! Thanks again for this video! Keep up the great work and God bless!

I make chicken burger, in our area you can buy chicken breast for 1.99 a Lb. add a touch of olive oil and grind it in my ninja for about total of 2 minutes. The best burger meat I've ground was brisket, now that's tender and delicious!!

      Even with 2-3 people that's not that much. Leftovers. I'm a family of 2 right now and just made 6 brats and 6 hot dogs the other day, ate them over the course of a few days. Makes for easy lunches.

    • @E.TGropeHome
      @E.TGropeHome 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      pasta0328 that's true but burgers? Ground meat isn't so good after a few days but hotdogs can last literally 2 weeks after getting off the grill and I would still eat it honestly. Grilled hotdogs are life.

    • @pasta0328
      @pasta0328 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'll eat burgers for probably 4 days which is fine for two people. I'm pretty sure they have kids though so they would get through it easily. Cooked burgers also freeze great, that's always an option. Simple lunches long into the future.

    WTF, So much missing from this video. Like, what beef cuts are good, what is the ratio of hamburger to sausage? You have a package of meat and do even say what cut it.

    • @jaredd624
      @jaredd624 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      He definitely tells you the cut so I guess you should pay better attention. Making burgers also isn’t an exact science. So relax, and do what you think might taste good. But I’m going to do you a favor, ground beef is usually chuck, I like mixing in some short rib, and occasionally pork belly. The sausage seems strange to me but I’m sure it isn’t bad. I also wouldn’t suggest grinding twice, over works the meat.

    • @cookingwithjackshow
      @cookingwithjackshow  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just showed on the video how easy it was to grind and re-grind. Not sure what meat you were grinding. Took me 10 minutes to grind a 3 lb chuck so 5lbs would have been 5 more minutes.

    • @haroldmusa
      @haroldmusa 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      szymekw Did you make sure the meat was VERY cold. It should be almost or partially frozen, otherwise (especially with pork) it will clog up the grind wheel. I haven't done beef yet but have done 2 batches (weeks apart) of pork for sausage and had no problem.
