  • First run of the 12 minute benchy included on the new ‪@Sovol‬ SV08. If you look closely you can see that the parts cooling fan is not working because of user (me) error. I hooked it up to the wrong pins after removing the shroud. More tests, results and thoughts will follow.

Here is the fix by @gerGoPrint3D th-cam.com/video/xt6uzXgRJdc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=PPL7XuI5vrZgxYJx&t=836 for the rattle in the Z-Axis

Sounds like you might have the QA issue of excess loctite dried onto the pulley connected to the Z motor(s). The fix is detailed in gerGO's video.

For sure. I was going to link his video in there also. Can definitely hear it.

Looked like the main cooling fan never kicked in on that print, is it maybe plugged into the wrong fan header? theres 2 open on the board, only the one works I think.

That was exactly what I did. I remedied the issue right after print completed. I was just amazed it went so well with no parts cooling.

@@griffgear3d I was actually thinking the same thing, when you pulled the benchy off and showed it for a second I paused and really tried to get a look at it, and none of the issues I would have expected to see were there.
I'm sure you had a much better view of the issues in person, but given the main cooling fan was turned off, and it was a speed print, it came out kinda ridiculously nice lol.
