    Great video. I just picked up a 2024 zt2 50”. I really love it. I was hoping to see how u change out ur hydro fluid and filter.

    Hey, nice video. Have been looking at getting one of these and am closer and closer with each review I watch. Got an old ltx-1050 that still works excellent, just getting the itch for a zero turn for the maneuverability.
    Off topic though, what gimbal is your camera girl using for the GoPro please?
    Thanks in advance.

      Hey thanks for the comment 😀 we are using the gopro gimbal with the gopro hero 5 in this video but the dji osmo pocket2 is so much nicer and the picture is great and the camera is so small . We use it now in all of our new videos and the picture quality is much better. 👌

    Great review of the Cub Cadet zt2 mower! I like that feature that allows you to move it when it is not powered up. I think my zero-turn also has the oil drain plug hanging down but I did not think to mention that.

    i am interested why you didn't mention the lack of resveror for the new sealed hydro drive system and how to service them if necessary?

    • @ClinchRiverHomestead
      @ClinchRiverHomestead  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I found that many residential zero turns that I have seen do not have a reservoir for the hydraulic system if you want that would need to upgrade to a commercial unit. As far as service i believe there is a filter under the back but not sure i have not gotten to my 50 hr service but i will do a video on that so you can see what is involved . Thank you for the advice on that and the comment look out for that video!

      The ZT 1, is sold with 2200zt hydro transmission, but the ZT2, has two different transmissions offered. The 2800zt, rated as a high grade residential transmission, with a changeable filter, and, or, 3100zt transmission, with the reservoirs .. the 3100zt transmission is considered commercial grade …

    I have the ZT1 Love the seat and comfort also. I'm basically mowing all flat land, dint realize I could adjust that deck pedal! I'm little under 100 hours, been good so far.

    You were saying the only difference between the zt1 and zt2 was the Kawasaki motor that comes on the zt2 that is only one of the differences. Zt2 comes with armrests the zt1 doesn’t. Zt2 has the lever to quickly adjust the seat forward or backwards the zt1 you have to lift the seat loosen the bolts then adjust the seat and retighten the bolts. The zt2 also has the larger wheels on front and back the zt1 has smaller tires. I think those are all of the differences😂 there may be differences in the transmissions as well I can’t remember. If you add it up the zt2 is the better deal imho because if you buy those upgrades separately for the zt1 you would spend more than if you just bought the zt2 from the start.

      Thanks for the info I was giving my thoughts just based on what I could see at first glance at the dealer as I didn't have 2 machines to compare and I'm not reading from spec sheets and just my opinions 😀

      Zt2 in addition to bigger tires, they are also thicker ply.
      The mowing deck also has reinforced front edge. Amazing upgrades for just a few hundred more.

      Yes The zt1 has non-serviceable hydro's & the zt2 has serviceable ones. By the Way;This video is the reason I purchased my zt2 50" last week! Thank You,Rob Y.

      Still running great I did replace the rear tires with something a little more beafy to handle hills and boy now it will climb over anything .

      Ok great..I'm looking at a spartan as well..they are a little more expensive and john deere is way more expensive

    • @ClinchRiverHomestead
      @ClinchRiverHomestead  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      John Deere is way overpriced not to mention. They're one of the companies that are trying to keep the public from being able to repair their own equipment. Check out the right to repair bill.. So for that reason I probably wouldn't ever get John Deere.

    • @ClinchRiverHomestead
      @ClinchRiverHomestead  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's hard to show someone here's what I would recommend and what my wife did in an open area you need to play with the controls I am still getting use to how it feels compared to a normal mower with a wheel. And when you are using it your body will figure it out and then take it slow when you are mowing so this way it's easy to correct something hills are the worst exp when you feel the rear end sliding on you . But only time makes you better and more comfortable.

      I think you use a hose quick disconnect fitting and pop.it on the deck fitting turn on the hose and start the deck .

    In my opinion the only difference that really matters between the ZT1 and ZT2 is the serviceable transmissions
