I just bought this mower. I went to buy a Hustler but after test driving them both the ZT2 50 turned much more smoothly than the Hustler and the hydro drive was much quieter. I’m only using for home use. Hopefully it lasts for this kind of use.
I looked at this mower and its not bad at all for the price range. One of the big turnoffs for me was no fuel gauge and small fuel tank. It is an improvement over what they had. The salesman at the cub cadet dealer said they are coming out with a ZT3 next year and it will be a beefed up version of the ZT2. I went with the new John deere Z740R and am happy with it. Good luck with you mower man they look awesome. Post up a video of how well it cuts grass.
@@harolddenton6031 I love it! Well built and holds 8 gallons of gas. Cuts good and mine has the Kawasaki FX engine with plenty of power. Went through some foot tall thick grass and didn't even bog the engine whatsoever. I actually like it better than John deere's commercial 9 series. Its sits higher and you can see around you better. Awesome mower if your interested in one go check one out.
@@shannonmccall8701 Well first the average homeowner I guess that's ok. Which is what this mower was built for. I just prefer a larger tank and some sort of fuel gauge that you can see from the seat.
I have one, bought it in March 2019. Now I have over 260hrs on it. Flawless so far. Kawasaki motor pulls hard all day long. Once you master its movements its awesome.The seat has a cable stopping it falling forward. Its not connected when its delivered. Look under the seat, i think it has a captive bolt installed just thread it in.
Looking to buy one and doing my research as well. Some constructive criticism if you continue the reviews, try to cut back on saying, "like I said" . Thanks for the vid.

HOWEVER, the fabricated deck just isn't holding up. it's damn near broken in half. the metal under the exit chute broke in year 1, the top of deck has multiple broken weld spots in year 2. have an old cub tractor with 46" stamped deck, and that stamped deck is hella sturdier.
FYI Difference between zt1 and zt2 :ZT2 has USER SERVICEABLE ZT2800 hydros...zt1 has disposable ones you cant change the oil without physically removing them from the mower. ZT2 has 4 ply rr tires zt1 has 2 ply. ZT2 has thicker steel protecting the lip of the deck. Its a completely different class. For ME the hydros being serviceable (plus they provide quite a bit more tq 300 ft lbs). Zt2 definitely worth the money not a poser like the lower ones. PS You can LOWER your control arms so you can use the armrests!
Now y'all don't forget. Rip off them plastic seat bumpers and send em back to Mr cadet with rocks and gators in the box, marked receiver pays attention bean counters, then replace them with steel 3 inch motorcycle seat springs ,maybe 4 if you're heavy.
If you have $12 grand to spend on a mower, you can get just about any mower you want. Me personally if I was going to spend that much and was in the lawn business I would be looking cub cadet commercial grade.
@@totalfocuslawnservices6968 I notice some reviews that complained of vibration. I suspect Cub Cadet has resolved that issue if you noticed none on yours. My Grandson is just married and needs a mower to mow his 2.5 acre's so I am doing research for him. I own a Kubota ZTR which I love but his budget is around $4,000 so Kubota is out. Thanks for your good and detailed review that was to the point. I love the fact that you do not claim to be an expert like so many others do.

I’ve owned two or three new Cub Cadets. These things are bullet proof. I will never switch.
I agree, I have four, people often ask why not get commercial equipment, I tell them Cub Cadet is the next best thing at half the price.

Small fuel tank you can mow for 4 hours on one tank how many acres do you have that don't take that much energy to stop and fill back up

Great review! I've heard bad things about grass clipping caking under the deck and the jet wash port not helping. Have you had experience with that?

I'd Get a Bad Boy. I got This Cadet. But my buddy has a Bad Boy. That fucker even uproots jonson grass.

How is it on a hill does it hold good
To me it is ok, nothing special , it has 24hp and does well.
