    For the 97 thee are four fasteners you can't reach. Pop the lights down lower off. One screw each. There fare four bolt holding the bumper on. Take those off and the whole bumper assembly come off. Much easier.

    Great Video, just fyi I managed to remove and replace one light without removing the bumper. So for those of you like myself who's bottom bolts are rusted or worn, I accomplished this task without removing the front bumper.

    The video was super
    The only thing my son and I ran into was there were 2 of the expanding screwed inserts under each headlight assembly holding the bumper cover on. I ended up cutting the heads off with a straight bladed screw driver and then the video was dead on in its direction, Thanks again!

    video was super helpful.......only difference is that underneath the headlights where the bumper is attached there were locking screws holding the bumper on......i had to pop off old headlight covers to get to these......not sure if that was correct way but i got to them!!!!

    There were 2 remaining plastic bumper anchors underneath each headlight that were inaccessible on my 1995 Accord EX. The best way to be able to retain all of the plastic bumper anchors is to remove the entire bumper intact by accessing the mounting bolts (2 per side) through the turn signal openings (requires removing the turn signals.) That's how the Honda shop manual shows it being done, and it doesn't require any plastic bumper anchors to be removed at all, or any disassembly of the bumper! (Manual available at HondaHookUp.)

    The turn signals have on screw that hold them in place. You can remove the parking light with out taking the bumper off. We show you how to do this at the very beginning of the video. Hope this helps you out.

    @noahkeebler Who ever put the body kit on may have modified or changed some things. If you watch the video, it should show you how everything should be on the front of the car, so that you can attach the stock bumper back on.

  • @1AAuto
    @1AAuto  14 ปีที่แล้ว

    @fastdunn You can remove all the screws but if I remember correctly you can not get the light up and out. I believe I tried but taking the impact absorber off ended up being the easiest way.

  • @1AAuto

    @PandahBoii Once the screws are removed, and the bumper cover ends are unhooked. The cover should just slide right out as shown in the video.

  • @10557st
    @10557st 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    1994 you need to remove the bumper by taking out the parking lights, there is one screw holding them in (one each) you will need a long Phillips screw driver access in through the middle lower part of the bumper . There are two bolts for the bumper brackets one on left and one on the right. Remove the bumper cover side bolts (as in your video) and lift up and pull out a little on the bumper and it will drop down and give to room to remove four bolts. reverse the process for re-installation

    On the older Honda's, it is not uncommon to break the tabs on the parking lights. The plastic they used wasn't top quality and over time the oils from the plastic dry up and make it brittle.

  • @YARANAYR66
    @YARANAYR66 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    The way you get the bumper "screws" /push-clips out from under the headlights takes a different method. You have to leave the bumper cover attached to the bumper. Take the bumper turn signal lights out, reach through the holes, and unbolt 4 bumper mount bolts. And 2 nuts behind in engine compartment. So the whole bumper, cover, and mounts slide out as one unit from beneath the lights and grill area. So really you don't even have to takes those "screws" out. This method is 1990-style anyway.

    I bought a full-amber corner light set for my headlights and I just want to know if I need to do this whole process of removing the bumper? I saw in the video that you uninstalled the corner light without removing the bumper.
    I know this may sound redundant but I would like to know if its just easier to remove the bumper to uninstall and reinstall the corner piece of the headlight.

    You should have removed the battery first for cleaner access to the high beam bulbs, and then used alcohol to clean the bulbs before reinstalling into the new fixture. Any fingerprints or grit can make the expensive bulbs burn out like flashbulbs.
