I have a 97 Honda Accord and am absolutely LOVING your videos!! Just replace the head lights, tail lights and bumper lights. Excellent and very details video procedures.
We currently do not have an auto repair video for the rear struts. They may come off in a similar fashion. If you have a Haynes manual for the vehicle it should show you the steps that need to be taken to change them in your car.

If the struts are bad, they should be replaced.
The one on our video is one of our economy struts, we also carry the Monroe struts.
We do not recommend modifying the struts to lower the vehicle. You may want to look for a recommended lowering kit for the car that would also make it handle correctly, with correct spring rates.

It may have to do with old struts, or even the lowering kit.
@saulsuarez48 I looks like it's just a bracket that helps to hold the front strut in place.
Are you suppose to fit the back of the dampener fork around the little metal protrusion on the lower part of the strut?
@tx01cowboy A few things may be different on your vehicle, but the basics should be similar on how to remove them.

HI Jason, You could (chock the rear tires) keep those on the ground, and support the front of the car on jack stands. Then use your floor jack to take some of the weight off of the suspension, so that you can connect the new strut. Hope this helps you out. Have a great day! 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
@youngindagame30 On this particular vehicle we currently don't have a video that shows you how to replace the rear struts. However there should be a bolt or two at the top and bottom that hold them in place. We do carry the Haynes repair manuals for this vehicle that should show you how to make this repair. @thatgingerkid3895 Currently we do not. On a strut set-up it's usually easier to replace the whole assembly.
It may be a fairly similar process.

Is it the same for the back struts where you unbolt it from the bottom and then unscrew it from the top?
I have a acura/honda A acura cl 3.0 1997. My strut mounting plate is triangle shaped(0riginal from manufacturer). I noticed you use a five bolt patern and there is not video showing how to remove these two bolts. Please provide information on removing the two bolts. Thank you

actually I'm looking for a way to increase the ground clearance on my crossovers vehicle, I wonder if there's anyway you can increase it by changing to a longer strut? Or maybe installing a coilovers?

I am sure this is what needs to be done with our car, if you hit a dip (not a pothole) in the road you hear it. Sounds like the tire is hitting the frame. Is this the same for the front of a 1990 Honda Accord LX ? I am planning on replacing the front in a few days when I replace the tires ......

When you say "Drive this down the strut"... there is a bolt on the back of this part. shouldn't you loose it ? and when you put it back together, you should have a little something to align and this bolt to tighten. aren't you ?
