Do you know if the icons on the control screen can be changed around? On your vid you only showed what the existing ones did. Maybe they can't be changed. I'm not talking about the ones on the main screen that can be changed and additional icons can be added. I never use the start icon and want to replace it.

Hi and thanks for the walkthrough. Just a perspective on the choice of shortcuts.
As a new owner I quickly realised the risk/folly of having the frunk button as a shortcut on the main screen. Since the frunk cannot be closed automatically, I no longer think it a good idea for this to be so accessible and have removed the shortcut. Imagine you are at the mall or movies and accidentally tapped the frunk key. You would have to go out to the car to manually close it...not convenient at all. You are really not losing much functionality as the frunk is easily accessible via the CONTROLS tab.

Great video! Good to see a fellow android user with a tesla. I too have the S22 ultra and waiting patiently for my 2022 Model 3LR. By any chance do you have a Samsung watch? I found an app for the Galaxy watch 4 called Watt Time. You can control your tesla with your watch like the app on your phone. Only works for GW4 though. I can't wait to try it when the car arrives. Will be watching your video during the setup! Thanks again!

Alex, have you noticed if Samsung phones pair better than IPhones? Curious if calendars , music apps, and other items sync better with certain phones or it doesn’t matter
I've used a Pixel 3XL, LG G4, and my current Galaxy S22 Ultra. None have had issues pairing, but occasionally it takes a few extra seconds for the phone key to unlock the car. All other functions work like they're supposed to, except for messages. Doesn't work right with MMS.

This is an older version of the app, so charge stats wasn't there yet. Roadside is buried in "service"

Yes, that is by design. When it is connected you can unlock the car just by opening the door. You probably wouldn't want that while away from the car :)
Where do we find the Tesla Insurance in the App since Tesla has moved that feature for buyer Tesla Insurance from its homepage to its App now for 2022
It's under the user settings if you click your picture in the top right!
Can the Glovebox be opened from within the Tesla App?
Not that in aware of. But you could unlock the car allowing someone to open the glove box.

I was plugged into a public 30A level 2 charger, hence the time.

The thing you didn't mention is when you remotely open the Frunk you cant closed it thru the Tesla app.

Are Tesla Updates Required to do ?
Nope :) I've delayed them before, but that notification will stay up until you update. If you're connected to wifi they usually automatically download.
why I don't have SUMMON option in my tesla app?
It requires either enhanced autopilot or full self driving upgrade. If you don't have that, then you won't have summon.

MY wife iPhone can not see the car insurance and her driving score.
Unfortunately I don't have Tesla insurance or FSD beta so I'm not able to see those either

You may have tried this already, but make sure her phone’s app is on the latest version. If she goes to the App Store the Tesla should say update if it’s not up to date. Best of luck!
