The accessories that I wouldn't go without are: 1. Floor mats 2. Ceramic coating (D.I.Y. is fine. You don't have pay thousands of dollars). 3. Console wrap because that area scuffs too easily. Note: most kits only look like carbon fiber. They are vinyl but that's OK. 4. Windshield sun shade. 5. Screen protector (matt). I'm not a big fan of the charger you mentioned because, since it charges faster, it must also draw more current which could be a problem with most household circuits. The description even says it's 16 Amps which means that it will trip most household circuit breakers (15 A). If it doesn't trip the circuit breaker and the breaker is rated at 15 Amps, then it's time to replace the circuit breaker because you now have a fire hazard. The Tesla mobile connector will keep the current at about 12 amps (actually seems to be software locked to not go above this unless you are using the NEMA adapter). You don't even want to get close to 15A. Even 14A continuous draw is bad as it will stress the circuit breaker. Don't do it. Obviously, if you have a circuit that is rated for 20 Amps then you're fine but that's not typical, at least in North America. Note: Just changing the circuit breaker to a higher rating just makes the matter worse. It's the wiring itself that's the worry. Easy test: If the cord feels hot and/or you keep tripping the breaker then you definitely have an issue because that means that the wires leading to the circuit breaker are probably hotter that the charger wire as they're enclosed in the wall and probably a higher gauge (thinner) wire than the charger wires.

@@MikeSeuss Eh, I've done the math. Even in a best case statistical scenario, I'll need to keep working until I'm 85 in order to retire and afford basic living expenses - not accounting for inflation. With prior and future health issues, I'll be happy to make it to 70. Unless I get a phone call (I don't have a phone - cost) from a company in the top 10 of the S&P 500 informing me that I have a job as a senior network engineer and that they have a temporary residence for me to stay at and plane tickets waiting for me, then the above paragraph is my future. (I stopped applying for IT jobs due to mental health and physical well-being concerns).
Personally, idk if I'd go with an SSD (solid state drive) as opposed to an HDD (hard disk drive, i.e. your typical hard drive) for external storage since it's only being used for storage; i.e. you as a user are not accessing those files often enough where it really makes a difference on how fast you can work with those files (or maybe you are accessing them on a daily basis, then by all means go with an SSD). If you went with a standard external HDD, you'd be able to have double or triple the storage space for a cheaper price; however, the downsides are still the read/write times are considerably slower and you have mechanical parts.
It’s not about accessing the files, The tesla is constantly recording to the drive which In event of an accident it can save up to 5 seconds before the accident occurs. If you were to use a typical hard drive, there is no way it would be able to record the data fast enough to catch the accident. Remember you are capturing HD video from 4 cameras at the same time. Using an HHD wouldn’t make any sense at all. It’s too slow, big, and its mechanical which means in a car, constantly driving, its constantly being shaken and moved around which leads to unreliable data capture and lower lifespan. Plus it will also need to be powered by an external power supply instead of a single usb cable. SSD is the superior and smart choice.
@@MikeSeuss Yeah, SSD's are way superior in every aspect compared to HDD's; however, you also pay for it which was my main concern (I double checked the price afterwards and I guess $109 for 1TB isn't too awful, but still). How much video is actually saved? I feel like 4 cameras with HD video would fill up fairly quickly if it saves everything every time you enter sentry mode. Or are you saying video is ONLY saved in the event of an accident?
It’s only saved in event of an accident or when you have sentry mode activated and motion is detected. The oldest videos are also overwritten when the drive gets full. Yes HDDs are cheaper and have more storage but that’s it. They’re meant for occasional data transfer, there really is no argument about which is better for the tesla it just makes sense. Plus you can get a 500gb SSD around 60 bucks.
@@MikeSeuss Okay, that makes a lot more sense. Appreciate it! Then yeah, 500GB should be more than enough. Trying to learn all the little niche things like this before my delivery day later this month. Good stuff, man.
Congrats and I hope your delivery goes well, I have a lot of useful content for new tesla owners, like the delivery checklist video! Make sure to subscribe =)

Just fyi, your dog should be in a harness seat or tray, if you get into an accident the dog is not secure and will surely be injured or even killed. Humans need to be strapped in with a seat belt for the same reason. Your pets need to be secured in the car. Having your pet loose in the car may result in its preventable death. Something MOST people dont think of. I myself didnt think of it until a friend showed me products and videos of pet deaths in car accidents. PLEASE get one for your loyal pets
Great accessories! Well done!! My only comment is the phrase "you guys". It is said a lot in the video. It would be great if you would consider using more inclusive language as not everyone identifies as a guy. Appreciate what you do! Keep up the good work!

Yeah to each his own I guess right? Most of the companies making aftermarket accessories for tesla have far better quality than the oem. If you do the research most of the Tesla branded accessories are made in China from the same factories just with the words Tesla stamped on them
@@MikeSeuss oh I don’t doubt that. Tesla stuff in many ways is cheap unless you own the X or plaid models. However, that wasn’t my point. It is more about brand confusion in the experience of being in the car. I’ll give you the silver bullet example. When you were talking about those neck supports, you say they look so good… “it does look like they are OEM”. You were 100% correct. That is precisely what’s so appealing about those (ordered BTW :) They do look OEM..and that’s my point. Regardless, it’s just my perspective. I’m over the top about that type of continuity. I get it. Thanks for taking the time to make the content and share your favs. I’m a fan.
Do not buy the phone charger holder for model Y! The placement is behind the steering wheel and you can’t even see the phone! Not even sure why they would sell it to anyone. Total waste of money.
@@MikeSeuss oh something else-the current teslas no longer have data transfer from USB outside of the glove box so controllers don’t work and aren’t supported. The new cars don’t even have Sonic as an option :( it’s been rumored wireless controller support is coming but it’s not available

I’ve never heard of this issue but will definitely pay it attention!
@@MikeSeuss I heard the puddle lights voids your tesla warranty
Wait what!?
@@MikeSeuss Yes while doing my research and stuff I came across a video about the Tesla puddle lights. He said in the video that adding them voids your tesla warranty and posted a screenshot from tesla on the screen. If I can find it I’ll come back and link it
So strange, I have them installed and have had my tesla services by tesla afterwards and the warranty is still good. I wonder if voids certain things 🤔
Bro, I start with the thumbs up. Good vibes!!!

Hey Mike...great content! Is the front lip spoiler difficult to install?
Not at all! However you will need to screw the lip to the underneath of your bumper
Great list of accessories, but please change vaccum to vacuum!
Sorry about that!
Why tf change a filter when Tesla Y comes with HEPA filter
This video was made before they included a HEPA filter with the Model Y. And it’s still relevant for the Model 3.
The MagBak Charger does not hold my iPhone12Pro, even after being plugged in for several minutes. Too bad. The phone is bare without a case or cover, but with increased RAM.
The phone I’m using in the video is a iPhone 12 Pro, it holds and charges my phone perfectly. Do you have the bagbak case as well?

Thanks for making the video, keep it up the work
You’re welcome!
Good info for a new Tesla owner... I'm grabbing most of what you recommend... Thanks
No problem!
Good job.
Thanks
Thanks bro, just got mine.
Congrats!
Great details, much appreciated.

More great info Mike, I like the sunshade idea. I purchased a screen protector cover to protects my screen in the sun. Works great.
Nice!
The accessories that I wouldn't go without are:
1. Floor mats
Easy test:
If the cord feels hot and/or you keep tripping the breaker then you definitely have an issue because that means that the wires leading to the circuit breaker are probably hotter that the charger wire as they're enclosed in the wall and probably a higher gauge (thinner) wire than the charger wires.
Thanks Russell, haven’t had any of the problems mentioned so far but will keep a lookouy
Which floor mats did you get?
Model Y? Oem? Cost?
Aww your dog is adorable. You can get wee dog seatbelts too, definitely recommend. Another great list, going to cost a fortune before we even get the car lol
Haha thank you!

Hey Mike, great video man! I ordered many accessories you mentioned and showed in your both videos. I tried to order the cargo liner for my model 3, but it isn't available. Can you recommend another one?

The link should be updated now! 😀
New Teslas have charging-only usb-c ports below the screen. The only data usb-c port is in the glove box. I can’t believe i need an usb hub in a car.
Hate that they removed the functionality
@@MikeSeuss i have the same feelings.
You store does not have anything for the 2022 Tesla Model X!
It’s under the Model S section since they share interiors
Good stuff, Mike. Definitely saw a few things that I am going to add to my collection.
Thanks!

Only S and X

with all these must have accessories, it sure seems like buying a Tesla is a quick way to go broke LOL
😅
Waterless wash not advised and will scratch your car.
Depends on what kind you’re using and towel materials
Enjoyed the video, but I have to ask myself, "Why do I keep watching Tesla videos when I'll never be able to afford one?" QQ
Never say never!
Damn never heard of an emergency cell phone 😂
You have now!

Thanks
Great accessories! Well done!! My only comment is the phrase "you guys". It is said a lot in the video. It would be great if you would consider using more inclusive language as not everyone identifies as a guy. Appreciate what you do! Keep up the good work!

yes yes yes
😀
Love lots of these, but I won’t buy anything for my Tesla that has competitive branding (e.g. those car mats). It cheapens the Tesla brand imo.
I’m a fan.
why not include a real must have...spare tire kit?
Where are you going to put the spare tire?
what about kids proof?

Do not buy the phone charger holder for model Y! The placement is behind the steering wheel and you can’t even see the phone! Not even sure why they would sell it to anyone. Total waste of money.
Yikes
9:48 teslas no longer include chargers
Oh wow thanks for this, I didn’t even realize that!
@@MikeSeuss I bought the trunk mat wheel tray and sunscreen from your links. Thx for the content
@@MikeSeuss oh something else-the current teslas no longer have data transfer from USB outside of the glove box so controllers don’t work and aren’t supported. The new cars don’t even have Sonic as an option :( it’s been rumored wireless controller support is coming but it’s not available
