    I am just a 13-year-old who has a love for piano and this piece. Claire de Lune is a favorite of mine and my dad's. I have already come quite far, so wish me luck in trying to play the whole piece! Francesca, you have helped me a lot and are much better than any other tutor out there!
    You deserve the world for sharing your talent and tutorials for free!

    Just wanted to thank you for your free tutorials. I'm a 37 year old beginner that got a P45 for xmas and have learned 2 pieces (moonlight sonata 1st mvt, chopin prelude op28 no4) from your videos and am now going to start on this one. I know it's above my ability level but I can't help myself. I really enjoy your videos, you're a great teacher!

    Thank you so much for this tutorial. I played the piano as a teenager but foolishly let my skills slide. Now 48, I thought playing again was beyond me but time on my hands at the moment, I decided to try Clair de Lune. Having lost the ability to read music I found your tutorial so useful and am thrilled to be making progress, although I am note sure I will manage the whole piece. I am learning this to cheer up my Mum as Clair de Lune was my late Dad's favourite. A very sentimental journey for me and I thank you so much for your time in making it possible. I will definitely make a contribution to your channel.

    Hi Bitesize.
    Thank you so much for this.
    I am currently in a battle for my life.
    And my little boy also has a life threatening illness.
    Nearly 3 years ago I had my head and half my body accidentally run over.
    I have encephalitis and parts of my skeleton are now twisted.
    I find it so hard to take in or do the things that were like breathing to me.
    I'm half deaf and three quarters blind and so it is challenging.
    We don't have much right now my son, hubby and his friends helped as a surprise get me a baby grand.
    It needs a little tuning and work.
    Our son is a wee prodigy at 10.
    I wanted to encourage him too so I am reaquainting myself with the keys.
    Your tutorial is the best one I have seen where you basically come from every facet.
    You are also amazing.
    Thank you so very much for helping me find the joy again in my piano playing.
    Still challenging.
    Getting there.
    My son wipes the floor with me though only been at it the last few months.
    Thank you again.
    Sending love and light from New Zealand.
    Charlotte's Well!

    Hi Francesca,
    Your tutorial changed my life. This was the best piano tutorial here on YT. I’m almost to the end of part 1 and finally headed into those arpeggios🎹🎹🎹 Wow❤ Pretty exciting that I’m actually almost finished with memorizing, sight reading and learning Clair de Lune, part 1! After a 40 year hiatus from piano, I started playing again a month ago. I found your channel and started Clair de Lune part 1 a month ago…. I thought it was gonna be easy…but after the first page…dang… those chords just kept getting more and more intense… but I plowed through and did it all very, very, very slowly… At least 7X each time… It worked! You’ve been my daily piano teacher…all your hard work explaining and repeating sections plus saying those notes out loud and moving your fingers out of the way, really helped and I just wanna say TY again! Can’t wait to start Part 2 and continue to work on part 1. Those last chords and measures before the arpeggios are very intense. 😮 My wrists are crying lolol ❤️
    Again, I can’t thank you enough.
    Much blessings to you 🎵🎵

    Just the kind of video I need, and thank you for your detailed instructions. I want to follow a video that uses the correct fingering positions. I have noticed, however, that different videos on this piece implement different fingering, and I'm wondering if the fingering positions you're using are the correct ones originally recommended for this piece ?

    • @BitesizePiano
      @BitesizePiano  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There’s no official fingering for most pieces, just what you prefer (whilst ensuring correct articulation)

      @whale6144 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BitesizePiano My piano teacher always stressed the importance following the fingering of the original composer, and I've adopted that as a good practice. I never would have been able to play Fur Elise as a child if I had done what was comfortable... In fact, I recall her sternly correcting me to follow the composer's fingering. However, after I'd mastered the piece, I felt comfortable modifying it to suit my hand style. --But only out of her sight ! lol

      I'm afraid that would take me absolutely ages. Try to copy which fingers I use.

    Great tutorial. I think you can be forgiven for missing the Bb in that second broken chord. The first one has seven notes, and so does the last one. The other two have eight. My struggle with this section has always been trying to keep the 'timing' right on it because of the extra notes in the second and third broken chords. I suppose timing isn't so crucial at this point, though.

    Hi, I used to take formal 1st violin lessons as well as guitar. I haven't played an instrument in decades. I'm trying to play Claire deLune becaue I love this piece. I'm really turned onto the piano. But I forgot how to read music. I need the names of each note to be written on the music. It's been so long.

    • @BitesizePiano

      I probably wouldn't start with Clair De Lune!
