The third incarnation of the Mighty Q, I thought Johnny was a natural replacement for Big Al who followed the late, great Steve Ferguson, and the Sun Ra horns was a nice touch. Any live footage of Tommy Ardolino is like gold to me, I think about him and miss him dearly, those old shows at Toad's and the Bottom Line were legendary.
@@Ted_Selke My favorite part of some of their shows was when Tommy would step down and sing a pop song while Terry beat the shit out of his drums. Here is a funny moment with Tommy and Big Al doing Always Something There to Remind Me, great memories. th-cam.com/video/FuKf9XTDHk0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=cnTXE-d3y8bCZe2o
One of the greatest shows (tours) I have ever seen. This was a magical night when I saw them perform at a small club called Wilbert’s in Cleveland Ohio! Sun Ra horns. It was intensely amazing night of music.
They're one of my all time favorite bands. Their album from this period, is just great. Real music, more than three chords, and some truly great playing and arranging. "Everybody Thinks I'm Crazy"- man.. just brilliant.
You gotta be phucking kidding me!!! Such a delicious footage, yet only 8 ppl in the coments. Come on!!! The NRBQ deserve better. Great band. Rad gig. Thanks for this upload!!!
Thank you for this upload, brings back fond memories of this legendary band. Saw them multiple times with the classic Al Anderson lineup, a real shame he left just as one of their best albums "Message for the Mess Age" (ie this 1994 tour) was taking off.
I saw them so many times! Super great time and completely inspirational!

I heard 1,2,3 on the radio yesterday and thought of Tommy's wonderful vocals.
