    Thanks so much for this video. I’m doing my first oil change on my MC 125 and I’m asking everyone making sure I got the right stuff and doing the right thing. This helps a lot!

    Great video but wouldn’t it make sense to warm the engine before changing the oil?

      It absolutely does but I filmed this video at like 1:45AM so I could go riding the next day it’s a super quiet neighborhood. I try to respect that.

    I just picked up my 150 the other day, any updates on your recall and if the CDI actually fixed the problem ? Mine has 0 hours and I think I might just do an entire bottom end rebuild to be safe

      I did do an update video... the bike is running great no issues I just did another oil change on it no particles or nothing in the thing I've been riding it pretty hard should be good to go just get your recall done if it hasn't already I mean as long as you're not pinging it off the rev limiter or racing you should be good to go

      thanks.......hmm honestly I would question that I was told by KTM USA and my dealership that all CDI boxes that have been re flashed would have the sticker .... I haven't pulled my seat since I had mine done but I also know and trust the tech that did it let me go pull my seat to verify its there be right back

    • @groundzero-979
      @groundzero-979  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's fair enough the recall on the CDI box was to detuned the bike from being able to redline as high the real issue was with the crank not being able to hold up to the RPMs if your not racing or pinging it off the rev limiter you shouldn't have any issues even after the recall on mine was done I didn't really notice any difference in how it performed

    Hello, I have a sx150 2021, my first 2T, I have 2 questions.
    Why do you use with 4T oil and not 2T?
    And when i need to replace my oil with how many hours every time? Thank you

    • @groundzero-979
      @groundzero-979  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello, when i was initially breaking in the bike this was the second oil change and the bike was still under warranty and since all the issues they were having with the cranks letting go I used what ever the dealership said so if I had issues I had ground to stand on and a paper trail. I have since been using rotella 15w-50 with no issues.
      Changing out the oil is more of a personal preference some do it every ride but I personally do mine every 5 hours unless I have a really hard day of riding.

      With out actually seeing it it’s hard to tell you but if it was all fine shavings and no flake it’s more then likely clutch material. Never hurts to open it up and mic the disc’s to see where they are at or just throw new ones in

    How do you drain the gas from the carb on this bike?

    • @groundzero-979
      @groundzero-979  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hello normally I just remove the fuel line from the carb and put the hose into a can and turn the petcock on until the tank dries out then start the bike and let it idle until it runs out of gas there is drain bolt on the bottom of the carb bowl if you want to go that route I believe it’s a 17 mm, but don’t hold me to that wrench size.. where I live I’m able to ride all year long. I usually don’t let my bike sit more than a week with out a start up or at least a good shaking to stop the oil and gas from separating
