@@jemiahjackson2508 Sorry if you thought that I was accusing you of anything far from it. I grew up in a depressed inner city neighborhood and sometimes or a lot of times if a person does something to better themselves or start breaking away from one’s group, the group can start saying negative things. I watched an E channel story on Mary J. Blige where she described that very thing. Also, it’s hard to break away from the familiar or it seems hard for some and sometimes you don’t notice stuff around you until you step away from it.

Thank you soooo much for continuing to make these videos! I can't believe people can be so rude and hateful, it makes me wanna cry...! Recently I've been thinking more and more that maybe I don't actually want or need to be married, but this video on values has me thinking about the fact that quality time with people I care about is very high up on my list. And after my Mother passed last year I really only have my younger brother and my father with whom I've never really had a strong relationship who sort of gave up on my brother and I for his new wife and her son. I don't have a lot going for myself and now that my brother is married and working, we don't spend a lot of time together anymore even though I live with him. So I feel like the best thing I could do is go back to school, pick music back up as a hobby, keep myself busy and maybe eventually find someone to start a family or even just a life with. Yikes, I genuinely needed this video. Trying to spend all my time in achieving a more comfortable life. I just want to feel good about myself & be in the position to enjoy life and improve the life of others.
In order for me to get there, I got to start taking care of myself and using the time I have now because tomorrow is suggested, not promised.

Really glad you didn't give up because of some broken people who need to make others feel small in order to feel better. Imagine how different your life would be now if you'd let them win. This is inspiring and I realize I need to apply your model of perseverence to my own life!

Thank you Dr. Marks for being brave and fighting through those insecurities yourself to share your knowledge with us! You've helped me so much because now, I know what to ask for to a therapist, and understand myself and others. After getting the right help and support, I am on my way to feeling better about who I am and want to be. I was able find the strength to create mentorship programs to help others. "Empowered women empowers women". Your knowledge empowered me :) Thank you!

Hearing you at the end of the video get personal about your experience warmed my heart. I'm just so glad you kept doing your videos and helping so much people. But also I just feel very happy for you getting there.

We are taught from a young age to see money as our most precious resource. We are led to believe that we can make up for any of our shortcomings just by spending money. While money is a very useful resource; time is the most important thing a man can spend👍

I’m really glad you bounced back!! Even if it was ten years later! Better late than never. This 9 minute video is chock full of so much richness, but it makes me excited to do the work.
Personally I struggle to get started doing things because I’m afraid to engage in things that don’t matter to me so I sit around and wait around sitting down doing nothing until I feel inspired to do something -like this morning so I came to TH-cam to watch something that could help get me out of that rut. I just feel like I really do need to get in time with myself and work on clarifying what matters. Thanks so much!

We are blessed to have you, Dr. Tracey Marks. Thank you for being there and deciding to continue TH-cam. There are very few doctors who are able to empathically explain conditions the same way you do. You empower us with information. It's terrible and I'm sorry that you've been getting personal attacks in the past and even currently. Your videos help me a lot; I'm very high-strung, and suffer from bipolar disorder; can't afford a regular therapy or psychiatric oversight, and while youtube videos can never fully replace that kind of personalized care, I find listening to you explain things very informative and also somewhat soothing. So, I'm grateful you decided to give it another go after the bad experience you've had! :)
