Yes, I normally use my regular die cutting machines to make those types of cards but I'm all ears and eyes for this tutorial especially because it will be hands free.😉
The glue is fabulous! Ordered it and have never been so pleased with any glue I have ever used. The tips are amazing for fine details. Thank you SO much!
I have made cards at home since I was a little girl. Without the Cricut though, it was a lot of work. I enjoyed making everything by hand but thank goodness for Cricut The cards are beautiful.
I just designed my first side edge card and boy howdy, was that a RIDE! I'm blaming myself for not just making one of yours first though LOL. The results are 100 percent worth the effort, and I have new respect for you and your team!
Jennifer, you rock! We made the peacock and tried to write Thank You like shown in the picture, but couldn't figure out how to make it print...it wanted to CUT so we elimated it!
I made the peacock tonight. I had the one with the score line in it, and the first go it cut the card in half! lol! If you want to use a scoring tool as I did, make sure DS says SCORE instead of CUT! Lesson learned! I have some pretty holographic foil card stock, but the back is brown Kraft paper. Kind of ugly with the white peacock. I ended up cutting two of the back/insert and mirroring one of them. I then glued them together so there is foil on both sides. Much prettier!
Hi Jennifer, Once again a great informative video! I love all your videos. I have learned so much from you. Could you tell me if you have written instructions on the section of how to customize these and where I can find them, The part that you are instructing each step with the leaf card? Thank you so much!
@@JenniferMaker i apologise, English is not my first language 😊 I meant to ask, is there any way this could work on the joy as well, with maybe a work around? Kindest regards!
Hi, Jennifer. Can I “design” my own card using the same steps you used for the leaf card. For example could I do a card using flowers as my edge elements? I’m thinking yes, but I want to make sure. Thank you!
Hi, Jennifer! I'm contemplating buying an Easy Press. I have a wool mat on my ironing board and wonder if i need to purchase the pad or will the wool mat work? TIA
We designed and made them on our 3D printer. We plan to share the print files on our blog at some point for anyone else who wants them. There are two styles -- the one on the left uses PVC pipes, so it’s height adjustable to your needs. The one on the right is all 3D printed except for the table, which is a piece of wood screwed to the legs. Both meet the requirements in Cricut’s Safety Instructions for “a flat and stable surface” as the Cricuts are just sitting on stable tables.
GUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! I follow exactly as she says and it cuts down the middle where it's suppose to fold! I've tried no score and score with same results!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@@JenniferMaker Thank you so much! I made one for a wedding card and it was perfect! Other than I have to learn how to score it, it cut it and I had to tape the flaps on and top and bottom.
Thank you for taking the extra time to explain the process of making our own designs. That’s a very kind and generous thing to do. Your cards are gorgeous!
...I do not have the die cutter and most diy cards utilize that process. Thank you Jennifer for sharing these cards. I made the feather cards years ago and everyone was impressed.
I figured out how to get the score stylus on the peacock card however its still cutting the card in two pieces. Im about to give up *L* do you have a tutorial just for that card?
Thank you I got it to score but its still cutting that card in two pieces. I think I just forgot to remove the other line. I'll try again when I have more time. I am determined to make this card. @@JenniferMaker
Thank you, thank you, thank you! My Peacock card turned out beautifully, and was sooo easy thanks to your files. You are the best! Next, a custom card!🤩🤩
Jennifer, just wanted to let you know that, instead of score lines on the flower card, they are cut lines. I had to contour the cut lines out and replace them with score lines. Was a bit frustrating. Otherwise, lovely design. I like making A2 cards, so I just shrunk everything down. Worked very well
In Design Space now you have to change the score lines from cut to score and attach them. That is why I provide the easier option of no score lines SVGs. jennifermaker.com/cricut-scoring-tools-tips/
These are so beautiful. Just have to make them. I can see inking or chalking the edges as a great addition to the steps.

Can you show us how to put a sentiment in the inside of cards?❤
The peacock card shreds, even with a brand new blade. Such a bummer. The card is so beautiful.
It worked beautifully in my venture and my maker 3

Hi, Jennifer! I'm contemplating buying an Easy Press. I have a wool mat on my ironing board and wonder if i need to purchase the pad or will the wool mat work? TIA
It is fine as long as you can apply pressure with the ironing board being sturdy without tipping. I do prefer the Cricut pressing mat.
Where did you get the shelf for your two machines?

You could give it a try. It will work on the Joy Extra. jennifermaker.com/side-edge-cards/
