    I somehow come to a different conclusion to yours, I really was impressed by the CP12 (listening on Audio Technica M50X), it sounds like a full range speaker (and that it wants to be more). In fact, I've never heard of RCF and I was *VERY* impressed with the way they sounded, the RCF ART710AMk4 by themselves sounded really good. Did not like the JBL, felt that they were too bright.
    Going to start looking into RCF speakers now, a shame they cost a pretty penny from where I am.

      RCF is a product made in Italy and has always had a great reputation. Maybe in USA or out of Europe can be a little bit expensive but it's worth it. I'm also looking for a speaker that can also be used as a fr. QSC CP12 it's a very good option but the CP8 would also be fine. Living in Italy I have the opposite problem. QSC is much more expensive than in the US. So in the end I think I will opt for an RCF.

      I agree that the CP12 held its place and simply cutting the mids with EQ will make it sound less bright. Speaking from experience as I’ve done just that. I also added 1 Alto Sub and together they sound amazing. Like a mobile nightclub lol. I’m using them at a venue this weekend for around 150 ppl. I’m expecting that those bodies will be bouncing around with that combo.

Es increíble el sonido de los eon made un usa. Pero si es cierto que hoy en día es muy difícil conseguirlos en buen estado. Pero si consiguen originales se los recomiendo!!!

    that is remarkable RCF ART710, is great but the QSC Cp 08 is slightly above the RCF ART710 in terms of DB clipping. the QSC CP 08 keeps its sound great. but everyone has their own opinion

      FWIW those in the room agreed there was something "not quite right" about the sound of the CP12s - kind of a "missing something" feeling. I'm not sure I'd buy them again, though I do appreciate their small size and portability, and love using them for monitors.

    Personally the cp12 is much better then you are saying. It’s intended to be well rounded for all purposes like vocals, strings, or your normal big band.
    Just adjust the eq if you want more low, mid or highs. It can handle it all.

    • @FaberGT86
      @FaberGT86 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm a non professional guitarist, I play in small clubs, at home or in the studio. I agree with you regarding the CP12. In my opinion it's great for use in a guitar-vocal situation or as a speaker for an amp modeler. To be fair, the K10 is a better choice for all other situations as well. I'd be curious to hear a comparison with the RCF ART 910.

    Hard to know with music most decent speakers good enough for that, its vocals where the real test is and how loud it can get for vocals without feedback you can turn up any speaker very loud with music, But plug in a microphone that's where the quality will show and how loud u can sing or speak before feedback and the quality of the voice through the speaker ,Really all i see the whole time is testing for djs and not a lot between any of them, Bet theirs a lot between them with a vocal test like to see someone do one.

    love the rcf or the k series both gorgeous but the jbl is seriously lacking decent clarity even the cp is a better sound than the jbl now listening to with the subs the rcf pair blow the rest away sound so much warmer and defined the k series sound too much mid range for my ears i'm listening on a pair of rcf ayra pro 5 inch with no eq just flat, great video!
    it's a shame this test does not go further to include the h - h tesen series

    Nice! Btw., which version is the Eon? If it's the 15", I know it personally, I know the measurements, and it goes unusually low for a PA top - very good fullrange box for small parties, when you don't want to carry around a sub.

    • @GreenAsJade

      To me, on the acoustic track, the JBL sounded the closest to an actual acoustic guitar to my ears, but I do think the treble is a bit forward for my taste, especially on the Fleetwood Mac song. To me, the K12 sounded the best closely followed by the RCF box (slightly recessed treble to my ears, but not bad at all) and the CP12. (The treble of the CP12 seemed to have the high mids correct, and the highest of high treble correct, but was missing something in between the two, and though there was definitely good volume in the bass range it didn’t extend as deep to my ears. )
