some of these have custom firmware that prevent speeds higher than 300mb/s read/write when plugged into a motherboard m.2 slot. Sandisk Extreme Pro SSD v2 is one of them.
Thanks for the video. I wanted to know if one can replace the M.2 NVSE SSD with a faster one. Will the newer M.2 SSD from some other brand work with this "Enclosure"?
Can we take out ssd from it and put in other ssd encloser. My sandisk ssd type c circuit is broken now its not working. Sandisk not providing after sales service for damage product. I dont understand what to do. Such a waste of money
? what's a good pcie enclosure for the sanddisk I have no luck founding one. I try Sabrent usb type-c tool-free enclosure for m.2 pcie nvme and sata ssd need help please

Does it work on a third party enclosure? Has anyone tried it?

@@barcostudioseems cheaply done I think they mean. Though given the glue and the screw I wouldn’t imagine it would go anywhere during use. I do wonder how much it throttles though.

very good and straight-forward video. exactly like the title says. no drama. i wish more youtubers did this.
Huh... I thought it was some shrinked-modified 2.5' SSDs!
Thanks for the video!
Sata < 580 MBps
NVME PCIE 3x1 > 800 MBps
I need to know if I’d be able to screw this into the nvme ps5 slot if I take it apart?
You can
Did you try??
it won't work
PS5 requires atleast a Gen4 nvme drive with rated read and write speed of upto 5000MB/s
No. Although the nvme drive is slotted still it lacks the controller which is embedded on the usb c board part.
@@sautiksamui7260 The chip on the board is the USB controller. the M.2 is just a standard nvme drive
You should have installed it in pc and test and compare speeds with ubs/installed on motherboard and with ssd priced the same
*Great use of Guitar Pluctrum*
Im wondering if in the futre I can Upgrade the SanDisk PRO G40 I just bought for a better Nvme of other brand or something
Why bother, just buy an enclosure for the new SSD.
Can you use the nvme drive from this external casing directly on a motherboard?
Yes, it's a normal drive

Looks like a super cheap internal m.2 or am i wrong?!
This NVMe is made by Western Digital.
its a WD SN560E
just buy the wd one if you want a cheap one
@@TheAppleFan149 and wd owns sandisk..... so still the same brand....
@@rokiedecentra9656well i didn’t know sandisk was bought by western
Now do a Disassembly/Extracting NVMe Drive from a Lenovo PS8, cause that drive needs a real heatsink
So you can buy a smallest and change it in with 4TB nvme. Thank You!
Did it worked?
Good luck lol
why bro just use external ssd enclsure

Unless you have USB Gen 3.2 2x2, what would be the point? The drive will be faster than the USB speed is capable of.
proper manage nvme enclosure and ssd , perfect and portable
you are great man I love you
Can I replace the nvme with any other brand drive once it fails? Like adata or kingston
no just tried it nothing pops up with a differant drive
why did I go this long thinking it was something crazy fancy in those things

Yes
If i change it with other nvme drive will it work ?
Yes definitely
can i just put faster ssd in there?
you can buy this 500GB or 1TB and but nvme 4TB and put here
I'm using SanDisk 4TB Extreme Portable SSD - Up to 1050MB/s - USB-C, USB 3.2 Gen 2 - External Solid State Drive - SDSSDE61-4T00-G25
disassembly ??
can we take that ssd board and plug it in laptop???

Can we install this in laptop?? To use it has a SSD
It should work, but other SSDs don't work inside the case
No thermal pad?
to what, plastic.......
Wait!!! Then, can we put this ssd on PC directly as internal ssd??
Yes..why not?

Will it work on ps5?? I see one on fb for 100.00 right now.
isee this nvme disk ?
hahahahaha the guys glued it inside with strong adhesive so that it cannot be upgraded easily.
I assumed they were nand cells soldered to a USB board- what
Wait I could repair mine this whole entire time!?
NEAT. Means they're upgradeable. Also would be kind of funny if they didn't use their own company's memory and went with like Samsung.
Very poor design.
Why?
