@@Sindor33 on est 3. j'ai eu des grosses sportives, supra, Skyline gtr, Subaru etc puis j'ai essayé une megane rs dont j'ai actuellement et j'ai été bluffé par son châssis et son moteur. excellente sportive. maintenant j'envisage une americaine v8 compresseur. aux plaisirs
Il nous faudrait un best motoring en France, sans les meufs à moitié à poil (sérieusement ça sert à quoi ?) Et avec de bons pilotes ça serait vraiment excellent

good comparison, probably should have used the same tyres on both vehicles to take away any difference. I have a Megane RS and love it. If I drove the latest Civic type R I would most likely think the same. Their both two of the finest examples of what can be achieved with an FWD chassis.
Yeah but if you met each other in brand new cars at the traffic lights this is what tyres you would both have from the factory. So it’s a fair battle.

このTYPERは見た目は好みだけど、それだけ、旧式TYPERのような研ぎ澄まされた刃物のようなNAエンジンフィールとFFでありながらFRのように鬼みたいに曲がるのがTYPE R
軽量、高回転、FRのようなハンドリング。
これが本当のシビックR。

The F4R engine from the Renault is the same that we found in the Renault Sandero R.S and the Renault Duster sold here in Colombia, congrats for the videos, I´m one of the very loyal fans of Best Motoring and GT Channel.

Very cool, with subs even! The civic has more power, but it's fitted with SportContact6 tyres, vs the Sport Cup 2 of the Megane. Also Ohlins R&T are more suited for bumpy and twisty road, the Civic gets too stiff in sport-R mode.
This video made me curious about Megane RS, an alternate hatchback! Hope megane rs 2018 still this good

looks like a reversal of fortune; in the old days the type R were the underdogs with less power but lightweight and i would always cheer for them but this FK2 now has power and torque but i'ts heavy...to me it's kinda lost its type R allure and i was actually cheering for the megane to win...ain't that some sh*t? oh and yessss!!!!!! subtitles!!!!!!!!!!
to be fair, civic is not that heavy. megane is just a super stripped out version without backseats, with lithium battery, ti exhaust etc. the normal 4 seat megane weighs pretty similar. agree the civic is not very "type r", apart from the traditional cosmetics like the gearknob and seats.
the problem is today civic have more equipment and they are far more secure... and that adds somes KG...

Yeah all that effort and the magane is still not light, Plus no faster here than a stock s2000, It's just because they test at Nurburgring nowadays it creates an overhype that's blatantly manufactured, It's clever because the nature of that track makes it very hard to challenge the times, Unless you have multiple backup cars and a racing driver...

こういう小さいところはメガーヌ得意だろうな。シビックはタイヤが悲鳴上げてるし、ギアも心なしかあってない。おそらくピックアップがルノーに劣るのも多分そのためじゃないかな。とりあえずシビックにとってこのコースは辛いと思うな。
あと字幕いらないという人、これ見るの日本人だけじゃないってこと忘れないで。

GREAT test...that was FUN. Now need Renault to start selling cars again in The USA. I own a 2003 Honda S2000(last of the 9K RPM 2.0L) and would like a Renault Megane R. S. for my daily driver.
AKHIR ZAMAN...FYI...Peugeot is going to be selling vehicles in The USA...again...within the next 5 years. If Renault DIDN’T own Nissan/Infinity...I think they would ALREADY be back selling vehicles in The USA.
funny how the civic behaves much differently (=better) from tsukuba even though the course is very bumpy. On tsukuba DK was constantly yanking the handbrake to keep the understeer in check.

The Megane has a big tire advantage with the, sport cup 2. The civic would be faster if it had similar rubber, it almost kept up with mediocre continentals
