I've always wondered how they're able to cooperate so well when they know many people get eliminated by the end of the show... I'd be stepping on backs trying to do better than others.
Well that's kinda the thing. If you don't cooperate with your team then ultimately you end up sinking your ship and then you'll be nominated for elimination.

Why would you ever cook a steak all the way through? What a waste of a steak if you do. Steak should only ever be seared. It takes about 4 times to eat a steak this way and then you literally crave it this way.
