The main reason Stolas hired I.M.P. as his bodyguards wasn't strictly for protection. He hired them to deal with anyone who bothered him and his daughter because he didn't want to be interrupted as he spent time with her. Also Blitzo being there was just a bonus than anything
That was basically my thought on it too. He doesn't *need* bodyguards, but he wanted to spend the time with his daughter without being bothered and he's super wealthy so why not pay someone else to do it.

The two of them actually hang out rather often despite everything, and at least Stolas has enough standards to not actually get handsy with Blitzo

I was thinking about the mascot. So the park is a downgraded version of Satan's Park. And the mascot is a apple because its supposed to be the fruit of the tree Adam and Eve ate from.
And Robo Fizz is a broken down animatronic copy of the demon Fizzarolli who performs at the real Lu Lu World. Although given how he was clearly talking to Blitzo, I imagine the real Fizzarolli was possessing the animatronic to speak to him.

Stolas certainly won't be winning any Father-of-the-Year trophies, but he makes an effort, which already makes him better than about 90% of all fictional parents. I like how Stolas is all "Hey! Language!" when he's the one character in the franchise vulgar enough to get censor bleeps. Also, that Octavia's beanie has a crown on it matching her father's top hat (at this point I'm sure that most people know that Stolas's whole character is a reference to the real-world Ars Goetia, in which the demon Stolas is portrayed as a long-legged owl wearing a crown).

I use to go to Six Flags over Texas every summer. The talk with Octavia and Stolas reminds me of that scene from hotel Transylvania after Dracula was rejected by Ericka and Mavis confessed to him that she was scared of losing him. She thought he would marry ericka and go away with her on a ship and travel around the world, leaving her behind.
I love that they got Beetlejuice himself, Alex Brightman to voice Fizzarolli/Robo Fizz.

Stolas certainly won't be winning any Father-of-the-Year trophies, but he makes an effort, which already makes him better than about 90% of all fictional parents.
I like how Stolas is all "Hey! Language!" when he's the one character in the franchise vulgar enough to get censor bleeps. Also, that Octavia's beanie has a crown on it matching her father's top hat (at this point I'm sure that most people know that Stolas's whole character is a reference to the real-world Ars Goetia, in which the demon Stolas is portrayed as a long-legged owl wearing a crown).
