Hey friends, what do you recommend for the focal point for the center of the new raised cut flower garden? Thanks for your input and watching!🙂💚🌸
I think a wrought iron round arbor with a bistro set in it with a clematis or wisteria growing over it would be gorgeous 😊
Thanks for sharing the idea, Elaine!🙂🌸💚
A bird bath in the center would be lovely and great for bids to splash in and maybe a seat to the back near the fence where you could sit and watch the birds splash about in the bird bath
Thanks for the idea, Chris !🙂🌸💚
Michelle, you could center a simple bird bath, or get an old bird bath but plant it up with succulents and under plant vista petunias! ❤😂❤
lol…. Barb, you know me, I 💖Supertunias!!!😉🌸💚 Thanks for the idea!
For the center I would do two arches that intersect and grow vines that you can cut from also. Thanks for sharing your garden with us.
Hi Kim- thanks for your idea, that sounds beautiful! Thanks for watching!🌸😊💚
I would just do a circle garden with bricks around it and small boxwoods, then you'd have some winter interest
Thank you for the idea, Marilyn!🙂 I like that you mentioned winter interest, definitely need to factor that it for our Midwest winters!❄️☃️❄️
get a round stock tank or round fire pit and spray paint it for the center of the cut flower garden and then you can plant a focal plant in that. Love what you have done.
Thanks so much, Martha and thanks for sharing!🙂🌸💚
The only place I use mirrors outside is,where they are hung opposite ,side of garage, ect. Because Birds will become confused, and fly into the mirrors, and become injured! Your Garden is coming along beautifully!
Thanks Karen!🙂 I will have to watch for the birds and mirrors, so far haven’t had any issues. They stay busy in the fountain!⛲️ 😉
Really enjoyed the tour and explanations of all your plants and how they've all grown for you. Absolutely gorgeous gardens and decor. Before you even said anything about that silver pitcher when you were thrifting, I was hoping you'd pick it up, because I would've in a heartbeat! Perfect for a beautiful garden bouquet. I think a very tall/large pedestal urn planter would be a good focal point in your cutting garden. Perhaps planted with striking Supertunias with tall grasses or Queen Tut papyrus in the center. I'm not a big fan of grasses in general but I'm loving my papyrus the last couple years that I've used it in mixed planters. I find the structure interesting and love them in flower arrangements too. The cream colour for your small mirrors beautifully coordinates with your obelisk and little chair. Thanks for another great video! 😊 ~M~
Thank you M!🙂 thanks for sharing your idea also! Yes, agree the grasses do look nice in planters and seem to grow really fast!💚🌸
Your gardens take my breath away! Also, I can certainly relate to frizzy hair when it’s humid. I’m really enjoying your videos. I get SO much inspiration from them. Thanks!
Aw…Merle, thank you for the kind words and yes , definitely frizzy hair with humidity!!😁🌸💚
Love everything ❤
Thanks Pamela!🙂
Your garden looks beautiful .
Thank you so much, Rosa! 🙂🌸💚
A 3 tier planter with strawberries, you can put your own top .
Thanks for the idea!🙂
An obelisk in center, square of pavers, boxwoods on the corners🥰
That’s a thought, Tammy! Thank you for the idea!!😁💚🌸
Michelle I think a small wishing well would look real cute. Love your beautiful garden and creative ideas.
Thank you so much for your kind words, Geri! I appreciate your suggestion.😊💚🌸
I LOVE your hair, don't change a thing! It does not look "krispy", it looks soft and beautiful! Fence & yard are amazing, keep the videos coming, sometimes they are the highlight of my husband & I's day! ❤️💜
Your support means the world to me, Brenda! I appreciate you taking the time to watch and leave such sweet comments.🙌💚😊
What about a small green house or a small gazebo . I definitely feel it should be a small structure of some sort cannot wait to hear what you decide to put there😊
Thanks Lisa for the idea and sharing!🙂💚🌸
Dear Michelle,
Your gardens are so lovely and so are you! I really enjoy seeing what you find at the thrift stores and how you incorporate everything into the landscape. We have a ”swap shop” at our local landfill where I’ve found some very interesting items for my gardens. In fact, last week I was thrilled to pick up a pretty wicker chair that I now have on my smaller deck. Thank you for all the fun ideas you share with all of us! Loved your red and white outfit today……..so, so pretty!
❤❤ Jackie from Maine🪷
Hey Jackie, your comment made my day! Thrift store treasures and garden swaps sound like so much fun. Thanks for being part of the journey with me!😊🌸💚
I love the mirror idea. Your garden is gorgeous
Thanks Elsa🙂 Yes, try a mirror in the garden, I am liking it!😉🌸💚
Have you considered a sun dial? They come in so many shapes and sizes. I have a small one but I love that it actually tracks the time!
Hi Madelyn, thanks for sharing!🙂 Yes, a sun dial also crossed my mind, so many great options!🌸💚
I like the idea of a pedestal with statue in back with bistro set in middle
Hey Brenda, a statue with a bistro set sounds like a great way to add some charm to the outdoor space. Thanks for the sharing!🌸💚😊
A boxwood circle with a tall urn in the center to fill each year with your favorite annuals.
Thank you for the idea, Colleen! I had thought about an urn….🤔🌸💚😁
When I was young my brother used a mirror to burn ants by angling it toward the sun. They would actually catch fire. I would worry about having a mirror in my garden in case the sun hit it just right and caused a fire. I think a bird bath and bird feeder would be nice in the center of your cut garden. I'm not sure they would be tall enough for a major focal point so maybe you coudl also add hanging plants on metal plant stands.
Thanks for the sharing and also for the safety reminder!🙂💚🌸
Trellis on four side with a bench in the middle. One day plant some kinda vine in 4 large pots near each end of the trellises. I may not be describing it right, but I can envision it 😊
Thanks for the idea, I understand what you are describing!😉🌸💚
Your garden looks gorgeous. I would put a fig tree on the center. It would look great with the multiple stems 😊
I am in zone 7a and have not even been able to get a Chicago hardy fig to survive the winter so I wonder…
Hey Leticia, thanks for the idea! A fig tree in the center does sound interesting! Will it survive zone 5 winters though? Or is it like my olive tress? I haul them inside every winter.🌸💚😊
Yes, I was wondering the same thing, I wonder if there is a variety that survives zone 5 winters? 🌸💚😊
An arbor then a bench for the new area 😂
Carol that is another good idea🤔….so many options!🌸💚
Love your hair but if the humidity is a problem try the WOW products!
Thanks for the tip, Terry!🙂
너무아름다워요 힐링 했습니다 최고 최고 잘 보고 갑니다 조아요👇❤❤❤
Thank you Joayo for the kind words and for watching!😁💚🌸
I would try statuary in the new are. Thanks for the tour.
Thanks Barb, appreciate you watching and your idea! 😊💚🌸
Or a large potting bench for the new area with several small arbors
Thanks Carol for the idea! 🙂💚🌸
❓❓❓since you have a full-time job and you have such a beautiful backyard and flower gardens and landscaping then I’m gonna ask the next question do you have a housekeeper indoors since you loved to be outdoors when you’re not at your job??
A few boxwoods and an old birdbath or an urn on a pedestal with flowers.
What part of Illinois do you live? I live in Bloomington. Have you been to the third Sunday market in Bloomington?
Hi Vicki I have not heard of that market. I up North in the Quad City area. Thanks for sharing !🙂🌸💚
You have a spectacular garden. I have to think about what you should put as a center piece. I think what caroljensen said is a great idea.
Thank you Irene and thanks for watching!🙂
Your garden is coming along nicely. I would place a birdbath as the focal point and call it a day. May I ask what the name of the Salvia is that did well and you used in your arrangement? Thank you for sharing!
Hi Anna, thank you for idea!🙂 The salvia was from Johnny’s Seeds and is called Oxford Blue. It does wonderful in cut arrangements and holds up well. It also looks great in the garden.🌸
How about a grape arch
Thanks for the idea, Liz!🙂🌸💚
How about a beautiful pot with a nice flowering bush
Thank you for the idea and for watching!🙂💚🌸
A windmill
I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment on my video. Tammy!😊🌸💚
Large concrete summer goddess statute on a base to give it height..?
Thanks for sharing and watching!🌸🙂💚
What is the name of the half circle white trellis behind the white phlox ? Thanks
Hi, There was no name listed on the trellis, it was purchased at a grocery garden store a few years ago.🙂🌸
Hello, who gives a damn what your hair looks like??haters are simple minded folks!!I like your yard. 😊😊😊
Thank you for the positive vibes, Diane!🙌🌸💚
Are your big statues from yard sales?
I purchase new and thrifted…I am always on the look out. The largest was purchased at Menards more than 5 years ago.🙂🌸💚
Sorry just have to say. Your hair maybe naturally curly, but please stop coloring it looks krispy go natural krispy will eventually grow out.
Alonso all the coloring is not good for you
lol… my hair texture is thick and coarse but not sure I have heard it described as krispy… 😂
