Your gardens and property are so lovely. I love your whole rustic look. Thank you for sharing 😊🌸
We are both zone 8b. I’m taking notes 🥰 But I’m in Texas.

Your garden is truly ethereal! Love, love, love all the plants, shrubs, and trees-everything just flows and looks so natural and blends seamlessly. I also appreciate your evergreen spruce and the Japanese maple, too-such nice interest.

I got some lambs ear at a plant swap, I just love the contrast it brings to the garden!

I love looking at your garden it is so pretty. I hope your cat gets down safely. My son cat clammed on top of the refrigerator. He got up to go get her and I guess he scared her. She jumped from the refrigerator to the floor and broke her leg. During the-holidays, she’s doing fine now.

@@veronicabyrd3699 Oh no! Poor kitty! Yes, they got down fine… it’s amazing to me how to do it each time! And thank you! ☺️

Hi! Finally I find someone who has more of a rustic garden I can relate with…I’m in zone 6 South Colorado but because of being up at 7200 ft in elevation it’s more of zone 5…I love barberry for its beauty and it comes in some really pretty colors with year round interest…Especially for being deer, rabbit resistant…I’m new to living in a rustic setting and I’m curious to know what you use to keep deer from eating all your gardens up? I noticed some plants that deer don’t really mess with but do you use spray?
Edited to add: I’m a new Subscriber 💚

Your lambs ear looks more like the regular type. Helen Von Stein has larger greener leaves and no bloom spikes. I have both and the reg type definitely needs more tiding up during the growing season.

You are totally correct! I was looking through my tags ands found that this on is actually called ‘Silvet Carpet.” Good catch, and thanks for encouraging me to look again at my tags!

Your garden is lovely! I also am trying to make everything more consistent throughout my gardens. It’s so hard because I want to buy/try every plant!!!! Unrelated question: How do you keep your gravel path weed free?

I definitely have that issue too! I really have to rein it in and try to control myself, or at least stick to my color scheme! 😄 There is landscape fabric under the gravel path, but I do get weeds in there earlier in the season. Once I pull those out though, they seem to be under control most of the rest of the year. 👍🏻
