Just a quick correction, the liver cells don't burst to release merozoites, they're slowly degraded as the parasites replicate, and their plasma membranes are incorporated into a merosome, which is basically just a big bag of merozoites that re-enter the bloodstream. While in the bloodsteram, the merosomes burst to release merozoites.
Watching this as I just started recovery from malaria, made a lot of sense To me of what kinda of hell I was going through. Thank you for the informative video
You are the best teacher I have every had. I am in my third year of a Pharmacy degree and have learnt more watching your videos. Thank you so much. You are truly amazing and appreciated!
Omg, I can't thank you enough, this has really consolidated my understanding! Thank you! It would be great is your could preview a screenshot of everything together for revision purposes 😊
O my god Really informative and amazing I was having a doubt in this topic and after watching your video I am more confident in this topic . Thank you so much......
sur that was really very well explained! :D But u forgot one thing...when RBC ruptures it releases haemozoin which is responsible for fever and chills. Anyway, this video helped me a lot! :D Thankyou!!

great video. here are a couple things you might want to add next time. there are five types of malaria plasmodium. you missed plasmodium knowlesi a rare but severe form that generally lives in a type of monkey. also this is the life cycle of p. falciparum. in vivax and ovale a hypnosoite stage occurs in the hepatocyte. this lies dormant for a while and leads to recurring malaria. this is important as treatment can be problematic. finally i think quinine is going out of favour as a treatment due to resistance. Artimsinine based combination therapies (ACT) are more effective depending on the type of malaria. though the price can be prohibitive. i know Im being pedantic. but it might be useful if someone is being tested on the info here all the best
I think this is one of the bestest video that explains everything about Malaria very easily. Thank u so much for such an amazing video :) keep posting ;)
Oh gosh Plasmodium is the organism it causes? That's slime mold. Slime mold seems really like some alien creature which replicates the mushrooms from earth with their own fruiting bodies. This might be the organism explaining all living things and evolution. Like in the episode of Alien worlds where small jumping mamals that look a bit like koala bears are the hosts of this organism that makes fruiting bodies. They are like body snatchers (freaky movie too).
Nice presentation. You should also include something about the hipnozoite stage of Plasmodium. Remember this is also a serius problem affecting re-incidence of the disease.
I LOVE your Video. I have to learn the malaria cyclus for my study of biology and you explained it better than my professor. I had no problems to understand you although I'm German. Thank you very very much!!
This is the best video of yours so far (all your videos are bludy brilliant anyways!). Maybe its because the plasmodium topic is generally more interesting than other subjects, or is at least less heavy...I don't know...but please keep making new videos. When I become a medical student, I will definitely refer to your videos!
I believe, based off my Microbio class, that Chloroquine is the drug of choice in treating Malaria (in non-resistant areas) but other than that I really do have a better understanding of the cycle in humans and the Anopheles mosquito. Thanks!

U r right
But it's written, though, bursting out the cell 🤷♀️in my book.
I think the G6PD plays a role here
I don't what is more beautiful, ur drawing skills or ur explaining skills
Ur drawing is much more able to remember, plzz at the end disply the full diagram so we can review after video,

Your videos are fantastic. However, I would love to have a screen shot of your full drawing at the end of each video so I can review it.
