I'm really surprised only Mystery Dungeon has a cutscene for dying in the tutorial... I guess the developers weren't expecting us to be THAT incompetent, thus, the games just soft lock or give you a game over with no hoopla
I honestly love seeing these kinds of videos. Going through different Nintendo games and franchises as opposed to just one franchise or game is quite enjoyable
the only way to die in the earthbound tutorial is to grind until you have PSI Shield to replace the PSI Psychic Shield that buzz buzz sets up. if you do this. you spawn in your house and skip the bossfight. this doesn't actually do anything as you arent even fighting the starman jr and end up getting so you dont get xp (not missing on much tho). but you get to look cool bc you spent hours grinding.
I know in Pokemon gen 3 the catching tutorial can fail normally if the stats are perfectly imperfect (i.e. Zigzagoon with low defense and the Ralts with high attack causing Zigzagoon to faint). But as usual the game still treats the Pokemon in the catching tutorial as caught even if it wasn't.
Two things about Earthbound: 1. it's possible to do this not glitched by leveling to 12 so Ness can remove Buzz Buzz's shield, allowing Starman to attack. 2. Where do you respawn?
for 2, someone answered this as part of a glitched speed run my brother was watching, but I don't remember. I'm going to venture to say Nes' home since this was a glitched speed meta, but I won't speak with certainty since I've already forgotten what the death did other then speeding the glitched run up.
You can die in the ghost catching tutorial in the first Luigi's Mansion. If you don't pull the control stick in the opposite direction, the ghosts will drag Luigi and he loses health. When you die, the tutorial restarts and E. Gadd says "Luigi, that was a sorry effort! Why, I bet your brother would be laughing fit to split if he saw you."
I love how glitchy Pokémon Red & Blue is when you go into battle without your first Pokémon; very interesting that wild Pokémon actually have an insane amount of HP-caught one once and I can confirm. As far as I know, I recommend going into battles at the Pokémon Mansion or Cerulean Cave since the game doesn’t freeze out or crash right after the battle. Pokémon tutorial fails are hilarious, such as in HeartGold/SoulSilver, where I also have seen Rattata using Explosion on another video I watched a long time ago.
If you glitch your way past the guards blocking the door in Link to the past and die anywhere but Hyrule castle durring the the rainy sequence then the game locks up during the game over screen, found that out when setting up a swordless mode using glitches (you CAN glitch your way past the guards on the right side in the US, but it takes a very high frequency turbo and ALOT of time -- or a walk through walls code...)
yeah, i died once in the beginning stage in PMD:sky. to be fair, it was a randomizer, and the thing that KO'd me was my own partner on their first turn XD had to start over entirely, it sucked
this just reminds me of the spiderman pc game where the narrator has no chill. if you die to the first enemy in the tutorial he just says "ooooookaaaaay, and you just died to first enemy in the game. might wanna play something else."

But usually it's just the game pretending that the thing that just happened didn't, with a few notable exceptions (think Red and Blue is configued to succed most of the time so if the old man fails with too many pokeballs the game soft locks)
"Chad voice" is right. That character had no voice in the original starfox 64 and honestly, who thought that was the right voice for him? Come to think of it he sounds like Jim Raynor from Starcraft

Really, Butterfree is worrying for nothing. The game's own plot just revealed that if anything happens to Caterpie, he'll just be warped right back to her anyway. So all she has to do is wait around, and eventually the problem will solve itself.
Absolutely. Any Pokemon in the game (including legendaries), as long as it's in the front of the party. If it faints, then the next Pokemon in the party will walk behind you.
@@LostPatrol14 You can also talk to the Pokemon who's following you to see how they're feeling, or what they're thinking. Although I have no idea how deep that mechanic actually is, or if it just gives you rather random messages based on different situations (such as weather, and whatnot).
