Great stuff, Dougie. I enjoy your presentation style, clear and easy to follow. Both video lengths are fine. Shorter ones good for finding 'How to" longer ones are good for finding "Why".
I got a lot out of the longer video, you just kept the hits coming. I've just started in a newly created position within my organization so I'm working on creating my digital footprint. I've been using Teams for several years, and although you still can't set a default tab within a channel, which is super annoying, I still like the idea of creating SharePoint pages and having those added as channel tabs. It just looks so much sharper. I've started using the windows key + . to bring up icons and add a nice green arrow to the channel tab name so it makes it stand out a little more. I'll definitely be using a few things from your videos in my new role, so I thank you! 😎

Loved this longer video as there were so many choices, thanks for creating it as I know it takes time to get it right. The shorter ones are great as well, but I picked up lots of tips from this one.
Thank you for this insightful feedback, my original goal starting out was to make shorter (under 10 min) videos to try and keep things to the point and retain a viewers attention. I was also basing it on my experience of watching others technical videos and thinking “ok… get to the point” at times 😂 However, by accident some of my videos had been a lot longer and I have had feedback that this is a good thing at times 👍

Very nicely done. Would like to see more in-depth on some of the forms behind the links in the Human Resources SharePoint Site for example. Great work. Perhaps those videos already exist on your channel. I will keep looking around. Thanks!
No I am not but I did build a simple site for our HR Director to see the power of SharePoint. I would like to collaborate with you more as I am transitioning from a Private Security Guard Assistant Director to full time IT/all things SharePoint. Let’s connect further please.
Very helpful video looking at multiple use cases and templates for SharePoint pages. Im looking to create a operational procedures manual and would like to use SP pages. What site layout or web parts would you recommend?
Glad you enjoyed the video! I’d suggest a site similar to the HR site with buttons that link to process pages. I am considering creating a video at some point to show how to create an operational playbooks site, this might be the kind of thing you are looking for. Can you give me any examples of names and how your processes are structured?
@@Dougie_Wood I have a wiki set up now, but want to use the modern SharePoint pages instead. Really want to have a 3 level navigation menu on the sidebar, consistent on all pages. Our information is organized by department with processes for each topic area underneath. It would likely be 100+ processes but here are some examples. Compliance - Auditing and Monitoring - Breaches - Credentialing - Ethics - Fraud Investigation - Internships - K Checks - Records Retention - Serious Injury-Death Review - Special Incidents - Volunteers Continuous Quality Improvement - COA - Outcomes - CQI Training Employee and Program Development - Employee Newsletter - Employee Recognition - External Presentations - Internal Training Requests - Logging Trainings

This is a great vid thanks! The Hub site - is that one you adapted from templates, or made fresh? many thanks!
It is one I made fresh for a client a year or so ago and I have adapted over time to include features I like about SharePoint 😃
Do you happen to have more information on an example that will have to do with something similar to rh
Hey, what do you mean by rh?
@@Dougie_Wood I mean about human resources functions, wow what a quick response
Do you have a video on linking the department sites to the dropdown? I keep addins associated hubs and it shows the main hub site...
