It still amazes me, how much DKC2 improved on DKC1, it's pretty much a perfect game.
I actually like the DKC1 more. DKC2 gets too hard.
@@KesterStudios Agreed. DK2's levels are so long and boring. I prefer several short and sweet levels over a few super long ones. They could have been more generous with "halfway points" or made those horrible barrel maze levels shorter for sure...

It's much like Star Trek: The Next Generation, in many ways it is superior to, but will never be as recognized as the original
DKC 2 is the worst of the 3 in my opinion the levels are so long and wait-heavy, with a bunch of parts where yoou need to wait, I don't get how much people like this game honestly 3 and 1 are a lot better and actual platformers not stupid waiting bullshit.
DKC2 is like a finely aged wine
Might be one of the best GDQ runs I've seen, runner is insane and couch is great too, good job guys!
dkc runners tend to be insane to watch in general

-Realizes that it was released 24 years ago.
-Remember how excited I was when my dad brought the game home for me when I was 8 years old.
-Vividly remember playing this until my thumbs were sore.
-Realize how quickly time goes by.

This was just too good to watch, i played DKC since i was a little kid, this was sooo exciting to watch! Must've been awesome to be there in person watching this, i wish i was there. You guys are amazing!

For me I was never able to beat that final bonus world, but the level that really killed my spirit as a child was just the final boss. For whatever reason I just could not beat him. I tried hundreds maybe thousands of times from the age of like 5-15 and never freaking could beat him. I finally dug out my Super Nintendo in early College and beat him and it was so satisfying. I think this inspired me to try and finally beat that final animal bonus rampage and the bonus Krool boss
You're going to feel so proud of yourself when you beat Animal Antics. You can do it!

Great game! As a kid, I didn't even know about roll-jumping until I got to the last regular stage of the game (Screech's Sprint), which is a rude awakening since that's the stage that basically requires that tech. Great to see so many awesome tricks and wrong warps.
I remember getting to the bonus stage and seeing the bananas hint the roll jump. "What is... Dixie can't fly like that. What is it saying... Diddy?"

one of the best games I have played, too excited when I was young, and the graphics back in the days were the best. I crafted it well back in the days when there was no internet, but never knew it was this messed up with glitches and warps lol

This really makes me want to give the DKC games another shot. Donkey Kong Land for the Gameboy was my first game ever, but for whatever reason I could never get into the Country games.

16:25 You can actually. The longest recorded time someone has gone without sleep was 17 days. It was during a sleep study specifically designed to see the effects of prolonged sleep deprivation so it was an incredibly controlled environment, but still. For the record that guy was completely fine. Not a single long term negative affect. The longest non-controlled time someone stayed awake was around 11 days.
People have also died after just three, so there might be other factors. Not recommended unless you're a Bulblax.

Johannes B. It’s one of the lost world levels
it's one of the "special world" stages, each world has a special world entrance (the one crocodile head that's facing the camera), each entrance costs 15 kremkoins (bonus coins) and each entrance leads to a different stage. The entrance to that stage is in world 5, you have access to the crocodile head after parrotchute panic i believe.
