    So glad I found your channel it's so informative! Quick question what made you pick PBL over integrated?

    • @tonitalks
      @tonitalks  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Ahh I'm so glad you're finding it useful! 😊 Liverpool is actually integrated but i chose it because I wanted the structure of having lectures whilst being able to apply knowledge and learn a bit more via cases!

    Is Liverpool uni diverse ? Is there a large black community there ? I’m from Nigeria and really would like to attend a diverse uni ?

    • @tonitalks
      @tonitalks  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      It’s definitely not as diverse as midlands/London universities but of the unis in the north I’d say it was quite diverse ☺️

    Are there many black people at the medical school in Liverpool and in Liverpool, generally?
    If so what countries do they originate from?

    • @tonitalks
      @tonitalks  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not many but the number increases definitely each year! of the small number of black students, West Africa is very well represented

    • @tonitalks

    Hello, hopefully I get to start med school at Liverpool this September, but I just wanted to ask what kind of academic material I could be reading right now to prepare for first year and if there were any parts of first year you found especially difficult? Thanks :)

    • @tonitalks
      @tonitalks  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! Congrats on your offer! I always say anatomy is the best thing to cover so I'd say get some anatomy flashcards and start revising; I have a video on good first year resources that you should check out!
      Adjusting to the volume of work can be really hard but it's something everyone finds their way to get used to 😊

    Hey! If you have the choice, would you choose to go to Liverpool again? Would you say the quality of teaching is good at liverpool? How supportive is the medical school and teachers?

    • @tonitalks
      @tonitalks  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would! it's such a student friendly city and the hospitals are so amazing - plus i feel like liverpool med students in general are more friendly and relaxed in comparison to the average medical student cohort 😅 older years offer a wealth of knowledge to us via societies and teaching sessions, and the lecturers on the whole are pretty approachable if you have questions!!

      o k o k I’m pretty sure you must have A level or equivalent qualifications to study the vast majority of courses at most universities, definitely for medicine.

    • @tonitalks
      @tonitalks  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yeah like Valrix has said you’d need Level 3 qualifications (like A levels or the IB) ☺️ and thank you so much 💛
