Karuna John hi- thank you for messaging? I’m so sorry to hear about your son’s situation :( I applied to unis that wanted a mix of A*A to AA but lots of places will want A*(AA) grades for resit☺️ good luck to him and please don’t hesitate to ask any questions!
@@lilyo7328 I would think so! Most unis want bio and/or chem and don’t really mind about the other(s) as long as they’re not general studies or critical thinking!
I love your story!! Amazing to see someone who took a gap year and made the most of it - I hope the rest of your medical journey is just as impactful and blessed✨✨
this is so crazy? but i'm going to Liverpool next year on deferred entry after a gap year too, I also got all A*/As and 1 B at GCSE at a grammar, AND I started bio chem maths and german (I dropped maths tho haha) AND this was the kicker for me bUt I also got 737.5 on my UCAT! this was surreal it was like watching my application process being read back to me haha!!
Hi! Came across this video after being recommended another of your videos and your channel is really interesting! I have just finished (well kinda...corvid) GCSE’s and I’ve been really considering medicine as a pathway. This was so informative about what makes a good personal statement and also so reassuring about the ability to re-sit exams. The thought of not making the grade for my A-levels really scares me but it is so nice to hear that they can be re-done and that so many opportunities are still available despite that minor setback!! Thank you this is a great video :)
Thank you so much!! I’m so glad you found this video inspiring ☺️ feel free to leave any video requests down here you you want to see anything specific!💖
Was med school / is it hard so far ? I’m currently in year 10 basically 11 and i have no idea what I want to be in the future I’m torn between medicine and forensic science. I know many people don’t get in first try but... what did you get in your A LEVEL and what subjects did you take ? And lastly do you find med school hard?
I would say that it can be a bit overwhelming content wise (and placement can be draining) but if you're interested in the content it's manageable 😅 I mention in the video but I studied bio, chem, german and maths at a level :) i remember people saying to me that there's about a 40% chance of getting in first time (idk how accurate that is though!) but if you apply strategically you increase your chances ☺️
@@tonitalks thanks a lot if you could go over the pros and cons and about your experience in your first and second ( pre clinical years ) - revision tips and resources !
Thank you for the video, is very helpful! My case is a little bit different because I am an adult student who will be starting “access to He Medicine “ this coming academic year as route to medical school. Do you have an idea how it works or how successful this can be ? Sure I will like to see the video of what medicine is at university of Liverpool .p.s I have already contacted some universities that do accept access to medicine
Ahh okay! I don’t personally know but I know Liverpool and other unis do accept access to med courses- I know some people in my year who did that! And I’ll definitely film that video about med at UoL!🎉☺️
Hi sweetie, I’m a Belgian student and I’ve applied to study biomed in Uk for this January entry. I’ve heard I can switch to med school after year 2. Is that true ? And if you know a youtuber who did that, or someone please give me their names, IG or something 🤣 I’m so happy to see one of my sister doing Med school 😌😌😌 In Belgium Med school is a whole marathon
Loved this video Im starting medical school in September, was so interesting to hear your story I took a gap year too. I cant wait to watch so many more of your videos. Im a new sub here and have a small channel it would mean so much if we could support each other xx
