I like that your a left handed carver. I'm left handed also. Most carving videos are by right handed carvers. This makes it more difficult trying to follow them carving as a left handier. Great carvings and thanks for the videos.
Kevin, you mentioned you were thinking about carving slower for beginners. That's not necessary. Anyone watching can slow the video down in the settings (the gear wheel next to the CC box) and select a playback speed. the viewer has the option to speed the video up or slow it down.
Kevin, how do you decide to carve a face on the flat of a wood as opposed to the corner, or vice-versa? Great video and carving, as usual. Thanks so much for sharing your techniques.
Thanks. I’ve done it so many times now I don’t even think about it. The first few years I would draw a rough sketch on the wood and did it that way. After doing it for so long it just comes second nature to you
I have a question Kevin, what size is the peice of wood in this video please? Also your 3/4 scrap pine wood spirit video has really helped me lately it's got me truly addicted. Thanks man 😁
Your carving skills are amazing. I am in awe. You say that is out of scrap pine, where do you find pine that nice and clear? Everything I find at the big box store is junk. Can you share your wood source?
Really appreciate your work for years. I do like turning on when I’m not in the mood for chitchat. Wishing I could carve eyes. Question …are you resharpening or switching blades throughout?
Amazing work with only minimal amount of tools. A true master at whittling.really enjoy your work.
