I want to thank-you for the clarity of your explanations and particularly how carefully you show where to put the hook. Being self taught, I also appreciate that you don't assume everyone knows the basic stitches. I may know them but the reinforcement is great.

This is the first time that I’ve ever tried to do something like this and following instructions on YT. Usually it’s been my mom, who’s very sick right now, but I know she’s never done this stitch. She learned the corner to corner stitch and then she had tried to teach me something else, and I hadn’t crocheted in a long time and couldn’t get it - but I’m alright with a basic granny? stitch lol Omg I don’t remember what I’m working on. Sigh. Anyway, I’m very proud of myself that I understood your awesome directions and if I could pat myself on my back I would lol Thank you so much for this. I’m loving it and it’s a great break from my other afghan.
Howdy Creative Grandma, once again. I realize ripping out is one way, especially if you are working a short row of stitches works. However, if you have more stitches than what you are needing, say 20 and you have 21 or 22...just take and undo the first stitch from the return end..the first loop you started with when you started the main chain. Undo this until you are where you need to be. I have found that by doing this you do not have to rip the whole thing back out and restart completely and saves your work you already have done. I realized this earlier today when I was trying different stitches out. Ive been trying to find a stitch that will work as Im trying to make a scarf and I just have not found the one stitch I want to work yet, so I have made several foundation rows today and have come up with extra loops and so I was tired of taking all those stitches out and redoing so many, so I tried just undoing those first chain from the end I originally started with and works like a charm! Love Love Love ya!
“Go ahead and” are UNNECESSARY WORDS! Just say “ repeat that” instead of “go ahead and repeat that” and every other “go ahead and” phrase. I came here to learn what you are doing because the results are beautiful. Your fingers are working just fine.
Love your easy to understand instructions. Can I suggest tho taking your pattern and using a IMAGE to PDF app (like Adobe Scan). You could take a photo of the entire page, save it as a PDF or PDF. Add photo of entire page to end of video. Or create link to PDF.
I love your 2 color swatch at the beginning. I'm just trying to see how many rows of the colored yarn you doing between the rows of white. In the video it looks like you're doing only the cross stitch rows in the alternate color.
Hi, I have tried to find the full list of instructions for this stitch but all there is, is a page shown on the video but you cannot see all the instructions. I tried putting in the link http etc but it came up as not found. Love your videos so far and will get the hang of it
Are you using a regular crochet hook? I thought this would be a pretty scarf with fringe on it. What do you think and if I do a scarf can I use a regular crochet hook, not a Tunisian crochet hook. How many do you recommend I cast on for a scarf. Ty for the pattern it is beautiful and as usual your tutorial is awesome ♥
Hello, first let me thank you for your amazing videos. I wanted to know how come my Tunisian basic stitch keeps on curling on the bottom row? I'm up to about 20 rows done, with merino wool, and it just curls into a roll from the bottom up.
can you please confirm that in between each cross stitch row you are doing 2 rows knit stitch as you did in the beginning rows. Thanks beautiful stitch and looks great with the white and the varigated cross row. what is the varigated yarn called and colour please
You are correct. This is a 3-row repeat: one cross-stitch row and two knit-stitch rows. If you are changing colors, always do so at the right edge (or the beginning of the forward pass).
What if I want to make an Afghan that is 60 inches wide? How do I do this with all the loops that have to stay on the hook since I am not casting off the loops as I go along?
Hi, I have a question.... I was in a store and seen a stitch in a magazine that I thought was a beautiful stitch so I took a picture on my phone, but I didn’t get the name of it. I would like to see some projects with this stitch. The only info I have is: chain multiple 2+4, stitch guide says, Front post double crochet cluster (FPdcCL). I don’t even know what magazine it was from..... help... do you know of this stitch?

Hello Lonna, This is hard hook to find, you will have to probably look on ebay to try to find one. I bought mine a few years ago through annies attic but they discontinued them, I know ebay sells the wooden ones. a size 10 1/2 K or 6.5 mm will work just as good.

Normally you work up a little you barely did three rows if you can even really call it that you did it first time I've truly been disappointed with stitch of the week😢.😢😢

You need a Tunisian crochet hook or what is sometimes called an Afghan hook. Go up 2 sizes from what your yarn calls for, loose tension too.

These hooks were sold by Annies Attic years ago and have been discontinued, I really love them wish they would make them again.
