Jains are a peaceful and well-respected community in India. There are only 9.5 million Jains in India (around 0.72 percent of the Indian population). However, most of our opposition leaders, Rahul Gandhi, Mamta Banerjee, and others only consider Muslims to be the ONLY minority. They pass laws to appease them. Islam is India's second-largest religion in India, with 14.2% of the country's population. It is called vote bank politics.

Buddha wanted to be a jain monk. His both teachers were jains. When he started meditating to attain mokha he failed because of immense hunger and ate a small fish. Since, he had sinned by eating non vegetarian food which is strictly forbidden in Jainism, he wrapped cloth around him. This is why the only distinction between jain "Gods" and Buddha is he's wearing cloth. Buddha's teachings are almost same as jainism

Jainism is indeed a tough religion. Imagine having to give up your inheritance, your loved ones, the things you admire, all for a tougher life with no chains to the modern world. Sounds liberating in my judgement, but giving up all of it is too much for me , personally.

Being a monk is not easy being a jain monk is extremely uneasy.
Throw youre relationship away throw your emotional dependencies away
Create a show while throwing away each and every worldly and materialist things you ever earned to common public just to ensure that you're never going back to family life or normal life away .
And then trying to avoid killing living beings even a micro level .
Its like dying while you're still alive .
A mere thought of it can shake you're belief system .

That one of the reason why Jainism is so low in population today.

I respect this community. They are too good as human beings. They never harm anyone.

They are wealthy ; so this means they are not stupid. They must have made the decision with rigorous investigation and experience.

Most monks in Jain come from wealthy family but there's no relation to being wealthy. It comes from traditions and teachings.

No matter how they renounced it . I am glad they had a procession. May they be honoured and happy in their renunciation 🙏🏽Nothing but admiration for this couple. I have always admired the Jain community. Wealth creates an endless hangama around one .

Its a family decision why should others be judging what someone has to do with their life. The purity, the spirituality, the peace the family will experience should be priceless. Totally respect the family's decision.
