Pakistan's former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif recently congratulated Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for assuming office for the third term. In his congratulatory post, Nawaz Sharif talked about "replacing hate with hope and seizing the opportunity to shape the destiny of the two billion people of South Asia". In his response, PM Modi said "advancing the security" of Indians will always remain a priority, referring to India's long-standing position on Pakistan, that is, terrorism and talks cannot go together. Recently, a Pakistani terrorist group, Lashkar-e-Taiba struck a bus full of pilgrims in Jammu & Kashmir's Reasi, killing nine people. The terror attack was launched on the same day as PM Modi's oath ceremony. Today, India's Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar issued a direct message to Islamabad. Palki Sharma tells you more.

Many are really ashamed of Rahul Gandhi of making mocking statements at Modi regarding these attacks. If he is a true patriot of India, he should have joined or atleast extended his suuport to NDA on bringing a hard line resolution on this issue and back them with his support. This is a long standing national threat and becoming a huge head-ache for any Indian government for a long time.
