    Hats is the most frustrating embroidery request I get. This video is the absolutely the best I have ever came across to explain how to set everything up and get the best possible result. I would love for you to tell me everything I am doing wrong....

    I just found your videos tonight while looking for a good Tutorial. And I have to tell you; you explainify things extremely well for a 60 year old woman like me to be able to understand and actually comprehend better than the actual Brother educator videos. You take it slow and easy and actually show the closeups (which is definitely needed by the way), and you tell us "Exact Steps" as you go along explaining each step, so we can see what you're doing and follow along better. And your voice is pleasant and very clear. You really should be an Educator for Brother Directly. Thank you so much for taking the time to share these Tutorial videos.

    Tock creates the best and most thorough tutorials I have ever watched. I've watched all his. Would like to see a tutorial to sew out Brother built in designs that have the right of design must repeat the design on the left side. I've loaded 10 different thread in my 10 needle Brother and it will no sew out the same on right and left side.

    We got a PR-1055x about the same time you did, but with a different type of hat attachment. Either way, you're missing out on some of the great features of the machine. You don't have to be so precise in putting the hat in the attachment - the machine has a built in camera for precise centering and alignment, which gets you perfect placement every time. Plus, once your hat is locked into its attachment, if the bobbin runs out, the machine stops and alerts you. You can then detach the hat (use the thread cut button first), keeping it in the fixture, change the bobbin (or rethread, if that runs out or breaks), remount the hat, back up any number of stitches, and pick up again.

    i have brother 1000 and 1000e, diff hat hoop my machines HATE structured hats, yours seem to have done the job no proble, however after you can see the placement of your embroidery is crooked... angling off and up, even when you lay all the hats together you can see some of the designs are not straight and centered...the dump, the brother embroidery and the wings with the TC are good examples of what im talking about, on the left start perfect, towards the right they angle up... im soo frustrated with brother machines not being able to do structured hats perfectly.

    • @TockCustom
      @TockCustom  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hmmm, when you put in each hoop (or hat hoop), that machine should detect the max size. I think this one was like 2.5 tall by 5.5 wide? Try to re-seat the hoops and racks to see if it resets. Otherwise, I'm not sure what's going on. Wish I could be more helpful!

    Great Job. I do like watching your videos because you definitely cover all the details and with great visuals. I just purchased the PR-1055x and I would like to know this, when placing the hat/cap driver onto the machine, will I need to unloosen and then tighten those screws every time I mount this driver on the machine OR is this just done the first time you mount the driver on your machine?

    • @TockCustom
      @TockCustom  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I use those gold tipped stick-nadel embroidery needles, haven't had a problem yet. Oh I still have some of the factory needles in that machine too, so its kind of a mixed bag. I think the hats I used were pretty cheap though so I didn't have a problem with it being too thick. Hope you can practice with some different settings and needles to get some good results

    Hi Toc, I just got the wide cap frame and i'm still getting broken needles and no matter what i di it sounds like it's popping, i can't get the cap flat enough.

    • @TockCustom
      @TockCustom  ปีที่แล้ว

      Weird, that sounds really frustrating. Do you have the little black cap that goes on the bobbin casing plate? I can't imagine what the needle would be hitting to break. I can ask my rep if you can't figure it out, but I don't know if I can do much to troubleshoot with you. Thanks for reaching out, hope we can figure something out!

    • @ebbram9879
      @ebbram9879 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TockCustom It's probably something i'm doing wrong but i don't want to break my machine si the cap frame is back in it's box for now, i have got the machine working okay on regular hoop again.

    • @itsbilly2309

      its called flagging, the structured cap is lifting while ur needle foot is going down causing a disruptions, to keep the cap more still use the black clips to tighten, however the caps are sooo rigid i find the only way to stop some of that is to STEAM it before hand so its nice and soft, or soft enough for machines... i just stay away from structured, cant guarantee consistency

    • @TockCustom
      @TockCustom  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's pretty pricey, and you can only purchase them at approved Brother Sewing dealers (which most cities have at least a few). I know it was designed in Japan, but I'm not sure if they're manufactured in the United States or Japan. Either way, this machine is awesome! You could easily start a business with this machine alone :)

    I love your videos, and was excited to see you have this new one about embroidery. But I'm disappointed that the machine you are using (I'm sure it's exceptionally good) is beyond the reach of hobbyists like myself. Here in Canada, it's over $22,000!!!!! Geez, I could buy a car for less than that. I'd love to see a video using something more affordable (and of course it would be less capable) which might be a better fit for casual sewers.
